Ebony couldn't feel a thing a she sat in the hospital waiting room tapping her foot violently against the floor as her anxiety made her sick.
She almost threw up on the way to the hospital and now it felt like something was stuck in her throat.
She couldn't lose him.
She looked around aimlessly as tears ran down her face.
"Ebony.
Darlin" Price said as he placed a hand on her thigh.
"He's going to be ok las," Soap said.
"He had a fucking seizure.
He isn't going to be ok" she said.
"I can't lose him," she said.
She then stood up.
"What's taking them so long?" She asked.
They all looked at her.
"Ebony," Ghost said.
She looked at him.
"Come 'er," he said.
She walked to him before sitting next to him.
"Take a breath," he said.
"Simon," she said as she started to cry.
He wrapped an arm around her "I know" he said.
Suddenly a nurse came out.
Ebony looked at her.
"Are you here for Mr Kyle Garrick?" She asked in a sweet voice that only annoyed Ebony.
"Yeah," Price said.
"I'm really sorry but it seems that the gas did more damage than expected.
He went into a coma an hour ago" she said.
"Fuck" Ebony muttered as she began to sob.
"Is there anything you can do?" Soap asked.
"For now he is stable.
That's all we can do right now.
He will be monitored constantly until he wakes up" she said.
Suddenly Ebony got up and raced towards his room.
No one chased after her as they knew that she didn't need people crowding her.
Ebony opened the door before looking at Kyle connected to so many wires.
She sobbed as she looked at him.
Ebony then walked to him.
"I'm so sorry.
If I didn't do all that to their fucking boss that night maybe they would have never done this" she said as she took his limp hand.
"I have already lost my last team.
Don't make me have to lose you too.
I won't lose you.
Not you.
Not any of you" she said.
She looked at him "I just need you to keep breathing.
I want to go to Scotland with you.
You are a fucking strong fighter.
You even shocked me so I need you to stay strong now" she said hoping he would respond.
In seconds she was remembering all the little things he used to do.
"I still owe you that kiss," she said before sniffing as the tears fell onto his hand.
"I can't lose you.
Because I...." she said before looking at him.
"Because I..." she said again as those three words got stuck in her throat.
It was the one thing she had been too afraid to say for too long.
"Because I love you.
I love you, you stupid idiot" she said.
She squeezed his hand "Because I love all of you.
You all are my soul mates and I'm sorry it took me so long to say it.
"It's always been you four," she said before leaning over.
She kissed him before caressing his face.
"See you when you wake up.
Because you will wake up" she said.
Ebony then walked out of the hospital with tear stains covering her cheeks.
She called a taxi before looking around.
Everyone must have been called back to the base as none of the military vehicles were at the hospital anymore.
She had left her earpiece at the base.
Everything was so quiet without it.
Once she got in the taxi she looked out of the window as she prayed for the first time in her life for Gaz to be ok.

Minutes passed as she walked to the meeting room after asking around to see where her boys were.
Everyone around her was staring but she didn't notice.
Her mind was cloudy and all she could think of was Gaz.
She walked into the meeting room before looking at Laswell dead in the eye.
"Out," she said.
"We're in the middle of something Ebony," Laswell said.
"It can wait.
Out" Ebony said.
"We'll finish this up later," Laswell said before walking out of the room.
Once the door shut Ebony looked at her boys before walking to the table.
"I want to talk to you about something," she said.
"Ebony, I know that look.
Killing them won't wake him up" Price.
"It's not about that John" she said in the lowest tone they had heard from her.
"We're all ears Bonnie," Soap said.
She took a breath.
"I have a good feeling Kyle won't be coming back for a while.
Which means that I don't know if I will be able to go to Scotland knowing that he's lying there with hundreds of cords keeping him alive.
Sorry Johnny" she said as tears ran down her face.
She nodded before looking to the side as she held back a breakdown.
"Also if he has family we need to tell them.
Not anyone else.
Us and only us" she said.
"That's already the plan sweetheart" Price said.
She nodded "And um there's one more thing" she said.
She looked at all of them.
"I realised something when I saw Kyle in that hospital bed.
Life is too bloody short and any of us could die during a mission or get severely injured and I for the longest time didn't realise that.
I knew the risks but I didn't care.
The thing is I don't want to keep doing things separately.
It's stupid because it's more complicated than the second option" she said.
"What are you sayin doll?" Ghost asked.
"I love you all," she said.
They all looked at her.
"I love you all.
I need all of you and I can't imagine a future where you all aren't in it" she said.
Soap suddenly rushed to her before picking her up causing her to yelp.
"You have no fuckin idea how much we have waited to hear you say those words," he said before putting her down.
"We didn't know what you were getting at when you separated everything," Ghost said.
"And now she finally says it," Price said.
"I have to say it's so much more sweeter after waiting so long," Soap said.
"I just wish Kyle was here," she said.
"He's survived worse sweetheart," Price said.
"I still hate it.
If I see Marco's followers again I will rip them apart.
I'll burn everything they built for him" she said.
"There she is.
Thought we lost you for a second" Price said.
She smiled before looking around.
The near future would be hell for all of them but at least they have each other.
