Masking

In a world that moves at a hurried pace,
I wear a mask to hide my inner space.
My mind buzzes, thoughts dancing like a flame,
But I conceal it all, playing the masking game.

I mimic focus, my attention seems keen,
But inside, a whirlwind, a chaotic scene.
I navigate the maze, trying to fit in,
But the effort exhausts me, wearing thin.

I camouflage my restlessness, my fidgeting ways,
Suppressing my impulses, in a silent maze.
But beneath the surface, a vibrant mind thrives,
With creativity and brilliance that never subsides.

I long for acceptance, for understanding eyes,
To see beyond the mask, where my true self lies.
For ADHD is not a flaw, but a unique gift,
A kaleidoscope mind, with endless shifts.

So let's embrace the quirks, the vibrant energy,
And break free from the chains of conformity.
For in our authenticity, we find our strength,
A symphony of minds, where we truly belong.
