I walked in with the nurse. Lexie was rushed into surgery. I walk to the waiting room and sit down. The doctor walks to me. The doctor says. "Hey there I am doctor Ricky. I'm Lexie's doctor." I look at him. I say " How is she?" He takes a deep breath. He looks right in my eyes. He says. " She has broken ribs and a broken arm." I take a deep breath. I got my phone out of my bag then called Austin. He answers the phone. I tell him what's wrong with Lexie then I hang up the phone. I walk out of the hospital. I get in my car then drive home.
As I pull up the driveway I see Dustin and Kevin talking on the porch. I get out of my car. Close my car door then walk to them. Kevin looks at me. Kevin asks. " How is Lexie?" I hugged him. He hugged me back. I say. " I am not worried about her. Austin cheated on me with her." Both Dustin and Kevin look at me then look at each other. Dustin asks. " Do you wanna drive or do you want me to?" Kevin laughs then says as he holds up his keys. " Let's go. He does not know my car." They both walk to Kevin's car. They leave to go to Austin's house.
I stand on the porch with a look of confusion on my face. What just happened? I thought to myself. I open the front door then walk inside. I walk through the kitchen. I put the keys on the table then go get a shower. Thirty minutes later I got out of the shower. I put my clothes on for the afternoon. As I started to leave the house my phone started ringing. I let my phone ring out as I walked out the door. I walk to my car. I get in the car then drive to my favorite spot. Too much has been going on. I needed to get away for a little bit.
Not long after I pulled up and started to walk the trail Kevin walked up to me. I looked at him. Kevin asks. " What's wrong?" We start walking the trail together. I say. " Everything is getting too much. My ex boyfriend cheated on me with who I thought was my best friend. Lexie had a wreck and I'm torn on if I should be there for her or not. Dustin might have to go back overseas. It is just a lot to take in. I don't know what to do." I take a deep breath. I start to tear up. Kevin hugs me. I hugged him back. Kevin says. " It will be okay sweetheart, I'm here."
