I look at him then smile. I say "Yes." Kevin looks at me then smiles. I smile back at him. After a long walk we arrived back at my house. Dustin opens the front door with a bag in his hand. He looks at Kevin and asks " Are you ready to go?" Kevin nods his head. Kevin grabs my hand then lifts it to his lips. Kevin kisses my hand. I look at him and smile. We walk inside. Kevin grabs his bags out of the hallway. We walked to the car. Dustin and Kevin put their bags in the back seat. Before they both got in the car I hugged them both. Two hours later they arrive at the airport to fly out to Miami.
Two weeks have gone by and I haven't heard anything from either of them. I leave my house. I get in my car then go for a drive. All of a sudden my phone rings. It's Lexie thinking to myself should I answer it? I pull the car over and put it in park, pick up my phone, take a deep breath and answer the call. " Hello?" I say in a calm voice. She says, " Katie it's about Austin. He told me to call you." I laugh as I listen to her. I say " I don't want to hear anything else you have to say. He is your problem now not mine." I hung up the phone before she could say anything. I open my car door then get out of my car. I wish Kevin was here. I miss him. I thought to myself. I walk to the peer then look out at the water.
Why would Austin want to talk now? I thought to myself. I take a deep breath. An hour later I walk to my car then drive home. All of a sudden my phone rings. I pick my phone and stare at the screen. I think to myself why now? My phone keeps ringing. I take a deep breath then answer it. Austin does not say anything for a few minutes. I ask " What is it Austin?" He says in shock " I didn't think you would answer." I roll my eyes. I ask again " What is it Austin?" He says " It's Lexie, she is in bad health. She wants to see you." I start laughing. I say " I don't think anything is wrong with her. I think you want to see me and you are using her to do it!" He says " Maybe I am. Maybe I miss you. Maybe I messed up. I don't know Katie. Maybe I want you back. After hearing that I dropped my phone and stop my car.
