In the night, all of the teletubbies would be asleep in bed. But for some odd reason, Tinky Winky couldn't sleep, not for very long at least before an odd sensation in his body caused him to wake up. But this time, he heard someone getting out of bed, and he leaned up to see it was Laa Laa going over to the custard machine.

Tinky knew something was wrong with her, but it seemed odd that she would get up for food, let alone at this hour. Little did he know, he wasn't aware of her intentions.

"Laa Laa, why don't you go back to bed? I'm not sure you should be hungry now," he asked, whispering loud enough for her to hear but not for Dipsy or Po to wake up. But Laa Laa didn't move or say a word.

"Laa Laa? Are you ok? You're starting to scare me," asked Tinky Winky.

Just then, she raised her yellow hand, which held a hammer of sorts and began to smash the custard machine apart. Sparks flew everywhere as she practically pulled the metal of the machine apart with physical strength Tinky didn't know she had. Soon enough, the custard machine was badly broken, and it looked as though they'd spend at least several weeks trying to fix it.

Such an issue, however, was the least of Tinky's concerns as he saw Laa Laa walk out of the dome and into the night. With that, he got up and went to wake Dipsy and Po.

"Guys! Laa Laa's gone! She broke the custard machine and left!" he said.

"What? Why would she do that? And where's she going?" asked Po.

"I don't know, but we have to go find her! I'll get the torches while you and Dipsy get up."

With that, Tinky went over to the work bench and awkwardly carried one torch for each of them before Dipsy and Po each took one with them. They then went outside and split up in different directions, leaving Noo Noo behind in case Laa Laa returned.

Dipsy went to the left towards the lake, Po went right to the other end, and Tinky Winky headed to the middle. As he walked, the purple teletubby found the lands around him ominous in the darkness. Fortunately, it wouldn't be long before he reached the tree at the center point in Teletubbyland. Unfortunately, Laa Laa wasn't there.

Tinky Winky was starting to lose hope, and could only hope that Dipsy and Po would have better luck. All of a sudden, he heard some odd noises behind him. Something like snarling and growling.

He then turned around and saw something about 10 meters away that looked vaguely like a teletubby, except it had no antenna or fur, and it even lacked arms and had dead-looking eyes that stared into his. Just then, it charged at Tinky Winky while screeching something that would've given him nightmares.

The purple teletubby ran away as fast as he could, but he suddenly tripped over a fallen tree branch. He wasn't badly hurt, but the thing was getting closer by the second and so Tinky braced for whatever it would do to him.

Just then, he heard a loud sound and a thud.

Tinky then looked up at another figure standing nearby, holding something in its hand with some kind of smoke coming out the end of it. The figure that went after Tinky was now laying motionless on the ground with a hole in the side of its head, which was surrounded in a pool of red liquid. As for the figure itself, it was similar to him, but looked taller, had white fur, and atop its head was Dipsy's hat.

"Who are you?...And why do you have Dipsy's hat?" he asked as he stood up and walked towards the figure as it turned toward him and looked into him with his green eyes as he set the object down.
