After a troublesome process of passing through Puzzle City's gate, Cale hopped off Grace's back and walked around with Grace beside him.

It's pretty much the same... I suppose.

Cale still vividly remembers how Puzzle City looked, smelled, and felt like whilst the war in the previous timeline.

Houses burnt to the ground with flames rising everywhere you turn to, along with the horrid echoing screams that dominate your ears. The polluted and suffocating smell of smoke and rotting corpses permeating his already aching nose, and the overall sensation of heat and sweat on his skin that ran goosebumps all over his body.

It was something Cale never thought he would witness, experience or would have ever even happened. It was a foolish thought now that he thinks back.

He had lived too leisurely, too carefree, without an ounce of care for the world. He had taken advantage of the peace that was still roaming around the world.

It was only until war unsued did he know what foolishness and utter ridiculousness he did.

The world had been too peaceful that the thought of war had not even run in his mind. However, if the world really was that peaceful in the first place, there wouldn't be any wars or fighting in the history books.

With history books, the tutors would say "We learn history to not make the same mistake" however even with everything recorded in the history books, people still make the same mistakes.

It didn't matter if we recorded it in and learn about it, people still make the same mistakes again and again.

If they, we, really did learn anything from the history books, there wouldn't be so many repeated mistakes from past figures in history books.

It was obvious that no matter how much we record in the books and teach others, the same mistakes will be made, repeating everytime.

It will only be a waste of breath at this point.

And still, even without wars, there are nobles and royals fighting to be heir, there are overly high taxes in some Kingdoms that commoners can't afford and get killed, there are high ranking people that get overcome by greed and lose their sense of rationality. There are still an abundant amount of problems even without war.

However, even in such situations, people, humans, still want to fight, they want to unsue more chaos, more blood-spill.

And all, for what?

However, the white star was an anomaly from all of those, his motives were unknown to the end, there were always a lot more than meets the eye— and the white star, was just that.

He was a maniac that showed boredom when seeing people suffer because of him, no reaction or remorse shown when killing people. He didn't even care if his people got killed either, and he even kills some of his people himself.

Cale's face had twist and turn everytime he saw the white star, especially when he had the same fiery, blood-red hair as him.

However just because the white star had the same hair as him, doesn't mean he hates his hair now, it was the same beautiful red hair his mother had and gave him, that's why, he loves it so much.

His mother was everything to him, that was why he tried so hard to survive, but all in vain.

Foolish, stupid, idiot.

Cale could call himself all these however it would still not change anything.

But he could change it now.

Now that the time has been turned back, he could change things, fix things.

He will.

He must.

Even if he was thrown, beaten, and tortured, he will and must fix things, he will let his family live long and happily this time.

Of course I will.

A small smile crept up his face at the thought as he beamed and Grace shying away because many people were looking at him now.

God let me die here...Cale..! What are you even doing smiling like an idiot..!

She held her head low as she walked behind him in hopes of not being noticed—forgetting that she was a horse—when she felt a hand on her chin.

"Grace, you shouldn't lower your head like that, it won't let people see your sophisticated beauty if you do. Let's walk side-by-side together."

It was Cale. Grace had a complicated feeling going on in her right now.

Was Cale always so smooth?

Could this be counted as flirting?

No, why even to a horse?

All thoughts went in her mind just to be discarded as trash, Grace didn't know why, but it was feeling quite hot for some reason.

Grace looked away from Cale—missing the perplexed and shocked he had—before walking along side him.

What's up with her?

Cale sometimes wished he could know what was going on inside Grace's mind. Her actions often confuse him.

Dismissing and shrugging the thought off, Cale continued on their walk and was finding an Inn. He wasn't sure if there was going to be any available rooms left, after all, it was soon the Rock Tower festival now.

Cling!

"Dear customer, welcome!"

Cale nodded to the receptionist who had a business smile as he walked in—after putting Grace at the small stable the inn had—and pulled his hood down only to hear a gasp from her. Tilting his head a little, he was confused why the receptionist lady gasped so loud and in shock.

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god...! What a handsome man! Oh, if only I was still in my 20s...

The lady would have swooned instantly if she was in her 20s, this young man was too handsome and beautiful!

"Do you have a room?"

"Why of course we do! Your luck is really good because we only have one remaining!"

The lady responded immediately in joy with her business smile still intact before continuing.

"Oh, the room however is a whole floor and is big so it will be more pricey if you are alright with it?"

The lady swept a look pass him. Cale wasn't wearing any extravagant clothing or seemed to have much, in fact, he looked quite dirty for a few days he slept outside with Grace and not changing his clothes—even though he did pack some clothes in his spatial ppuch.

She was worried if he could afford it, of course, she could give him a discount for his good looks however the lady rathered money more.

Seeing a smile hook up Cale's face, the lady became even more curious as she observed Cale unattach his spatial pouch from his belt, gasping once again when she sees Cale take out gold coins.

"Will this be enough?"

"T, this..."

Cale looked haughty as he gave a smirk to the lady as the lady looked at him in disbelief before the twitching on the corners of her lips stopped and her business smile stretched wider.
