"Why of course it is enough, dear customer!"

The lady seemed to beam as she spoke to Cale. Of course, why wouldn't she? It was the first time she's seen so much money placed on her table, gold coins at that!

Her smile was so wide Cale swore it would rip her off her face.

" That's good. "

Cale was stoic as he nodded and spoke.

"Dear customer, please fill in this first!"

The lady was quick with her hands as she took out a piece of paper in the blink of an eye and handed it to Cale along with a pen.

"Please fill in your name, the time you came in, date, month, and year, here, here, here and, here."

Cale was quite startled by how many things must be done just to stay in the inn. The inn Cale stayed with the old man didn't even need to go through such procedures, or maybe it was because that inn was the only one in the village?

Beats me.

Shrugging it off, Cale picked the pen up and laced it into his fingers. He paused beside the place that wrote, 'name'.

After a good minute of thinking, Cale confidently flicks his wrist as the ink from the tip of the pen seeps into the paper.

'Cale Thames', was what he wrote as he continues to fill in the other spaces, after all, he has never felt like a Henituse.

"Here."

"Thank you! Dear customer!"

Cale was feeling quite uncomfortable with the lady calling him 'dear customer' for the whole time however he still held a blank face.

"Cale."

"Huh?"

A confused sound came out of the lady's mouth. Cale scratched his cheek a little, perhaps he said that too out of context.

"You can call me Cale."

It seemed to Cale that the lady was processing what he said. Her mouth had a little gap between her lips and her eyes were still and dazed, her shoulders were tensed up more than before and her grip on the paper loosened that it was about to fall before she snapped out of her daze.

"Yes, yes! Cale. Oh my, I haven't introduced myself yet. Ahem."

The lady stepped back a bit before putting her right hand on her chest and bowed with a smile that seemed to be genuine and not of formality or politeness as before.

"I am the inn owner of this place. Please call me Misha. It is a pleasure that you chose this place for your stay."

Cale was quite impressed with her greeting. Although it wasn't a nobles way of greeting, it had a unique spark to it. A smile appeared on his face for the first time since he stepped into the inn.

" Likewise, the pleasure is all mine, Misha. I'm Cale Thames."

They both shook hands with a smile on their face, dark brown eyes and reddish-brown eyes looking at each other with almost identical smiles.

Their palms parted as they both pulled their own hands back before Misha went to show Cale his room.

"Alright. I'll be going out now, I'll be back."

"Yes, be careful."

Misha had a smile as she saw Cale off. It was a weird feeling like a mother seeing her child off. It was a warm feeling as well.

She had always drawn a line between her customers, to not get close to them and mind her own business however, this man... He attracted her somehow, not in a romantic way however.
