The seasons changed several times and the year changed twice. Abel's daily life has not changed, but recently a problem arose with his master. The master fell ill for several days with an inexplicable fever and became strangely silent and often stared into space.

That day, Abel went out to the city and returned a day later. He had in his hands a large amount of his master's medicine, bought with money from the sale of dried herbs and mushrooms. However, he heard a voice from the cabin where he was staying with his teacher. It was a voice filled with someone's worry.

"Well, if there's anyone who wants to listen, Duke Trudeau, the Minister of the Interior, is a good candidate. They say he has power, but he is flexible in resolving situations, perhaps because he has just inherited the title. So if there is a chance, he might listen, but haha, that statement would be absurd to anyone who hears it."

The owner of the voice was Melman, the only fellow disciple of the master. After his master fell ill, Abel sent him a letter asking him to contact them, but he didn't expect Melman to come so soon. He joined the sect along with master and was trained to become a Regas. However, unlike his master, he entered the palace early and worked as a librarian to the king.

Dusting off books from the old palace library that no one was looking for was his job. It is said that he could have been hired because there was a law that prevented all attendees from being occupied by people from the same sect. According to his master, he originally applied for this job to have a regular job. It was said that it was difficult to enter the King's Heart, so the insidious purpose was to find a shortcut.

Maybe that's why he's been doing things for 15 years that others would stop doing after a few days because of their pride. Because of this, his master often got angry with him for entering the palace without proper training. Since entering the palace, he had little contact with his master, and Abel only saw him once or twice a year. Still, perhaps because of the affection they once shared, he often delivered letters to his master telling him the palace news he wanted, even though he was always in a bad mood.

"The prince has already had Regas with him for a year. Normally, Regas helps the heir to the throne when he is around 10 years old and starting to learn about state affairs, so it's definitely early. Everyone is being quiet, but there must be a problem with the prince. According to rumors..."

He must have lowered his voice like he was telling a secret, so he didn't hear anything more. Melman is said to be his master's fellow disciple, but unlike his master who was almost 50 years old, he was now in his 30s. Sometimes the master said that he felt as if he had raised a son instead of a priest. It seemed like something important was being discussed inside and Abel was wondering whether he should come in or not, when he heard the his master's muffled voice.

"Pathetic scum! What devil! What snake eyes?! They should rejoice because he were born with the mark of a dragon!"

"But he wasn't born with any abilities."

"How do you know that?! The ability can be revealed later! It's not like it never happened before!"

"There has never been a time when the dragon mark was revealed on the body."

"... ...."

"Ha, why is everyone so stupid? The prince could be the one who can rebuild the power of the collapsing royal family! Apparently his powers will soon... ... Cough cough!"

When the master's coughing became more intense, Abel opened the door and jumped in without hesitation.

"Master!"

Seeing Abel appear with a scream, Melman raised his hand as if to ask him to stop. Even if that wasn't the case, Abel calmed his shocked mind after checking the thick smoke inside. Melman blew smoke from dry twigs towards his teacher, who was half sitting on the bed. It was a good tree for treating cough diseases.

"Your master will not die immediately, so don't worry."

Melman grumbled at the approaching Abel and then put the master back to bed after his cough subsided. However, as if he hadn't finished speaking yet, the master grabbed Melman's arm even though he was out of breath.

"Let me meet the duke."

"Ha, that's not easy."

"They are thinking wrong! I need to wake them up. Come on, cough, if there is no proper Regas at the prince's side from now on, the prince will later- cough, cough."

Melman rubbed the master's back with a frown and muttered as if he was embarrassed.

"No matter what happens, who would believe in the destruction of a country they saw in a dream?"
