• Rainy day in Rivendell •

In this story the twins Elladan and Elrohir appear to be 13yo and their little sister Arwen appear to be 2yo

One day in Rivendell, the twins were playing peacefully with they little sister outside in the garden

Their father was on a patrol today, and the twins wanted to enjoyed their time with their cute little sister

When suddenly, their mother Celebrian called them

"Elladan,Elrohir,Arwen please come back inside it will start raining soon" Said Celebrian giving them a sign to come

When the twins heard their mother, they both stand up and Elladan lifted up little Arwen and hold her in his arms

Arwen was really a young little elfing but she could walk correctly already, but her brothers still loved to hold her every time they could and she enjoyed it too

Then Elladan came back inside with the little Arwen in his arms and put her back on her feets

And Elrohir was putting the last toys back on a box when suddenly like their mother warned them it start raining

When Arwen saw the rain and that Elrohir was still outside she tried to get out but Elladan hold her back

The little Arwen stretched out her arms towards Elrohir

"Elrohir! Come!" Yelled Arwen for her brother

When Elrohir got all the toys back, he lifted the box full of toys and ran inside

Elrohir was lucky that while he was still outside he didn't rain that much, because not even a minute after he returned inside the rain started to fall even harder

"You were lucky Elrohir! One more second outside and you would have been really soaked!" Said Elladan a bit teasing his twin

"You're right Elladan!" Said Celebrian who came back, to give Elrohir a towel to dry his wet hair

Then Elrohir sat on the couch and Celebrian started to dry Elrohir's hair with the towel

When Arwen saw their mother doing it, she thought that it look funny and she jumped on the couch and sat next to her brother, and she looked at her mother with big admiring eyes

"Nana! Can i do it too?" Asked Arwen with excitement

"Elrohir? Do you want your sister to continue dry your hair?" Asked Celebrian

"Of course! I'll be happy if she want to do it" Replied Elrohir with a brigt smile

Then Celebrian showed the little Arwen how to do it

And Arwen took their mother's place and began to shake the towel against Elrohir's hair

And the way the little elfing was doing it was so cute and funny that Celebrian started to laughed and the twins too

"Did i did it right?!" Asked Arwen happily with a smile on her face

"It was perfect little sister!" Said Elrohir grabbing little Arwen and putting her on his lap

Then Arwen laughed and the twins started to tickles her gently and kindly

After some more hours, Celebrian started to wonder where Elrond was cause he haven't come back yet

When suddenly she saw him comming back, but he was limping and another elf was supporting him to help him walk corretly

At that moment the twins and Arwen were still in the living room when they heard their father voice

"Ada? Are you okay??" Asked the twins running to their father

And Arwen started crying when she saw her father in pain cause he was limping

"Don't cry my sweetheart" Said Elrond when he saw the tears of his really young elfing

"I will be okay, don't worry" Said Elrond to the twins cause he saw the worry on their eyes too

"What happen to you ada?" Asked Elrohir

Then Celebrian helped Elrond siting on a chair near by, and the twins and Arwen came closer to him but not too close cause they were scared to accidently hurt him more

"I couldn't see clearly because of the heavy rain, and I accidentally slipped and twisted my ankle" Said Elrond

"Does it hurt really bad?" Asked Arwen worried

"It hurt a bit yes, but i wasn't being carefull enough so i actually got lucky that it is just a twisted ankle" Said Elrond to reassured the twins and Arwen

"Don't tell them that, you got hurt, i don't called that being lucky" Said Celebrian giving Elrond some ice for his ankle

"You're right, i didn't think of the word i used but you undestood what i meant" Replied Elrond

"Ada? Do you need anything else?" Asked the twins who wanted to help

"No thank you, but thank you for asking" Said Elrond

"Listen, Elladan,Elrohir,Arwen you always ask me why i tell you it's dangerous to stay outside when it's raining-"

"well now you know that the rain is not just a question of getting wet, but also it can be dangerous if you slip like your ada did today" Said Celebrian

"Your nana is right, listen to her, okay?" Said Elrond

"Ada? Can we give you a hug?" Asked shyly Elrohir

"Of course you can, come here" Said Elrond opening his arms

Then the twins and Arwen carefully approach their father and hugged him

After a couples of days, Elrond's ankle completly healed

And the twins Elladan and Elrohir and little Awen were now playing inside when it was raining outside

Cause they had learned the lesson that their mother had taugh them

And Elrond and Celebrian were both really happy to see their childs enjoying their time together and laughing together
