It wasn't easy dating him. Angelica still tried. But everyone has their limits.

"James, can we talk," she had taken a stroll in the park, clearing her head. She now stood in the living room, some dark blue jeans and one of his shirts. James nodded, but didn't look up from the tv screen. "James," she dragged out his name, making him turn off the television.

"What? What is it to talk about," he threw the remote on the table, making some space for her on the couch. Angelica took a deep breath before sitting down beside him.

"Us. We need to talk about us," she didn't dare to look up. James felt his heart sink, and reached for her hands. "Is something wrong with us," his voice made her look up. James met her blue eyes, and she met his. He was so handsome, and she felt her stomach twist. James searched intensely after some signs. What was wrong?

Angelica closed her eyes, the staring getting too intense. "Perhaps we need a break," her words came out as a whisper. James felt his world collapse. He felt his hands beginning to shake, Angelica noticed as well. She squeezed his hands, trying to comfort him. "Why would we need that," he asked, his voice shaking as well. If James lost Angelica, he would lose everything. She was his everything.

"Did I do something wrong? Have I hurt you? Talk to me," he didn't care that he sounded desperate. Cause he was, he was desperate to fix the relationship and to make her stay. Angelica didn't expect him to react like this. "I just don't feel like it's space for me in this lifestyle of yours," she let go of his hands, and pulled her legs up. James felt like she was blocking him out now. "There's always space for you," he laid a hand on her knee, stroking it with his thumb. "It hasn't really felt like it lately," her voice faded into the room. James gulped before talking again. "I can understand that. It's been a lot with the band lately, but I appreciate you telling me how you feel. I can't really change what has happened, but I can certainly try better from now on."

Angelica stopped breathing. James had never been that considered, and never spoken those types of words to her. "Did you hit your head or something," she giggled, feeling the tears stream down her face. "No, I'm just madly in love with you," he pulled her legs over his own, "so in love with you that I can't just let you go."

She cupped his cheeks and placed her lips against his. "I'm sorry," she started, but he interrupted her. "Don't be sorry. You felt hurt, and that's alright. But I want you to rather talk to me, and not scare me with a break up," he tried to smile, yet he was still worried that she would leave.

"I don't want you to leave me Angelica," James reached for her hand. Electricity was sent through her body. His touch was like summer rain on her skin, warm and comforting. His eyes were filled with emotions. Angelica wanted to look away, his sad eyes tearing her heart apart. "I won't leave," she whispered.

James lips found her hands, kissing her knuckles softly. "Do you mean that," he didn't dare to look up.

It was surreal seeing him like this. He was always so big and scary, intimidating and very sure of himself. Now, he didn't meet her eyes, his body suddenly looked small and pulled together. His hands were shaking, as well as his legs.

"Jamie," she crawled into his lap, stroking his short hair carefully, "I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. I promise. I'm sorry I scared you, I didn't mean to."

All the years they had spend together flashed before her eyes, making the tears steam down her face. James looked up at her, stroking away the tears. "We'll be fine, won't we," he peaked her lips quickly. She nodded and buried her face in his neck. James wrapped her tight in his arms, kissing her head before closing his eyes.

The couple fell asleep in each other's arms, fitting like two puzzle pieces.
