Eclipsed Hearts (Carlos De Vil x Y/N)

D3: Chapter 10

The moment Audrey returned back to normal, everyone in Auradon did as well. Fairy Godmother unfroze as did Evie, Jay, Carlos, Dude, and Ben. Dizzy, Anna, and the Smee twins woke up in Evie's 4 Hearts and so did all the students who were asleep in the castle garden.

Audrey was brought back to her dorm room and laid on her extravagant bed, looking as though she was a princess in a deep sleep rather than a person who was knocked unconscious after terrorising the citizens of Auradon.

Mal gently sits at the foot of her bed while Evie takes a seat in a chair next to Audrey. Celia, Ben, Jay, y/n, Carlos, Uma, and Harry stand in front of the bed, hoping Audrey would awake.

Harry rests his hands on Uma's shoulders, while Carlos wraps his arm around y/n tightly as she rests her head on his shoulder, still slightly exhausted from being knocked out by Maleficent's sceptre.

"She's slipping away," Evie sighs.

"If we don't do something soon, she might..." y/n trails off. "Mal?" She turns to her friend.

"There's only one person in the world who might be able to do something about this, and that's Hades," Mal answers.

"Hades? He wouldn't do it. And I wouldn't risk it," Ben says.

"Actually, he might do it for me." At Mal's words, the room falls silent. "He's my father."

"Okay," Ben exhales, evidently taken aback by the information. "Well, I'll have to send guards to get him."

"Maybe I can hitch a ride," Uma says. "The Isle is my home. Someone needs to be there to protect it."

"Well, then, you'll need your first mate," Harry smiles, and Uma offers him a grin as well.

"The Isle will be in very good hands," Mal says meaningfully.

"Can I go, too?" Celia asks. "I wish I could be in both places."

Mal nods slowly, before looking at Uma and saying, "I really think that Evie was right. And... I do think that we could've been friends. And I'm really sorry that I lied to all of you guys. You deserve so much better than that."

"You're just trying to do the right thing," Carlos states.

"Yeah. I get it," Uma adds.

"Yeah," Evie says.

"Well, I hope we meet again," y/n smiles at Uma and Celia.

"Me too," Celia replies warmly. "Tell Dizzy I said bye."

Mal gives her friends a smile before they leave, glad they forgave her, but guilt still gnawing at her. Silently, she makes a decision in her mind, one she would share later with Ben privately.

After a long while, a black limousine approaches Auradon Prep with Hades seated inside it. He's brought to Audrey's room and everyone leaves except Ben and Mal. Beast, Belle, Fairy Godmother, and Audrey's grandmother join the couple once Hades arrives.

Y/n, Carlos, Evie, and Jay sit outside, y/n resting her head on Carlos' shoulder as he keeps his arm around her once more. Evie texts Doug to find out how he's doing, while Jay twiddles his thumbs absentmindedly.

"Thank you for coming," Mal says to Hades once he enters the room.

"Didn't have much choice," he sighs.

"Can you wake her?" Ben asks nervously.

"Since when do heroes care about villains?" Hades retorts.

"She's--" Ben starts.
