3rd Person POV
Kingsley sprinted down the dimly lit alleyway, her heart pounding with adrenaline. Her footsteps echoed against the brick walls as she pursued the suspect who had just been caught red-handed robbing a house in LA. "Stop right there, You Asshole!" she yelled, her voice reverberating through the narrow passage.
The suspect glanced over his shoulder, his pace quickening as he attempted to evade capture. Kingsley gritted her teeth, determination fueling her pursuit. She reached for her radio, swiftly calling in for backup as she continued the chase, despite the suspect's surprising agility for someone of his size. "Silas, we've got another runner! Requesting backup!" she relayed urgently into the radio, her voice tinged with frustration and a hint of humor as the suspect, who must weigh 300 pounds, sprinted like he was competing in the Olympics.
Meanwhile, her partner and best friend, Silas, sat behind the wheel of their patrol car, his eyes already fixed on the GPS tracker as he maneuvered through the city streets. "I've got eyes on him," he reported over the radio, his voice steady, though he couldn't help but suppress a chuckle knowing the size of the suspect. Silas chuckled to himself as he raced to Kingsley's location. "It's somehow always your luck, King," he muttered under his breath, a grin spreading across his face despite the urgency of the situation.
With a screech of tires, Silas expertly blocked off the alley's exit, effectively trapping the suspect. The suspect skidded to a halt, his chest heaving with exertion. Silas had the window down already, and he pulled his weapon out, pointing it at the suspect. "Congrats, you made it to the finish line," he smirked, his tone laced with sarcasm as he prepared to take the suspect into custody.
Kingsley finally caught up to the perpetrator, and she was already committed as she lunged for the tackle. She was well aware that his weight could pose a challenge, but her determination propelled her forward. Despite Kingsley's tall stature and muscular build, she braced herself for the impact, ready to take down the suspect.
"You're under arrest," she declared, her voice firm as she moved in to apprehend him finishing as she read his rights to him with Silas right beside her. "Damn, King," Silas said with a chuckle, admiring her determination and skill even in the face of a challenging suspect. Silas and Kingsley had always been the team that took down the most robbers. They had a reputation for being tough, witty, and always there when needed, making them an unbeatable duo alongside their other two friends and some others. Their whole shift was almost the best, only rivaled by a few others, but when it came to getting the job done, Silas and Kingsley were second to none.
