(well, in a manner of speaking)
Directly to you
I should say, I'm really grateful
You're taking the time to read this
In addition to the other
Little bits and bobs of feeling
That I send your way, I couldn't ask
That of just anyone I know
And I don't mean to-to overstep
By asking you to do yet more work
But an inherent part of the joy
Of capturing feeling on paper
Is to see the creativity
With which others release it
I guess the poem should have ended there
But it's OK if you didn't catch that
I'm not looking for a 5-star critique
Just your unprofessional opinion
