Chris's P.O.V.

We sat there in the dark until I heard my name being called again.

"Chris! where are you?" Mr. Kent called.

"I'm in here!" I yelled.

I heard the door creak open and saw Mr. Kent, and he looks pissed.

"What are you doing in here?!" He looked as if he was going to fire me.

'Oh no, you done goofed up.'

"Some kid locked us in and the lights weren't working and the flashlight died..." PJ piped up.

Mr. Kent's facial features smoothed out.

"I should hire more people for this store..." He muttered to himself as he walked away.

Me and PJ scurried out and I locked the door.

"So...." We said at the same time, laughing awkwardly at the coincidence.

Mr. Kent came back, calm now and was staring at PJ.

"Would you like to work here? I just need another person so The shop runs smoother." He asks PJ.

PJ thinks about it for a bit. "Sure, why not." He shrugs. That's when I feel my heart flutter at the thought of seeing him everyday.

"Good, come tomorrow around 8:30 and Chris can help you get started." He smiled then walked off.

"Nice job." I patted PJ's back heartily. He just laughs quietly.

In my head I'm doing backflips because of how excited I was.

"You ok Chris?" PJ asked looking confused.

'Crap, I was zoning out again.'

"Yea, I'm fine." I grinned.
