After a week of hospital stays and medication, Shree finally arrived home. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and excitement as Sana and the others welcomed her with open arms. The home was adorned with cheerful decorations, and everyone was eager to make Shree feel comfortable and loved.

Despite the joyful welcome, it was clear that Shree’s mental state was still fragile. Although her physical health was improving, the emotional scars from her past and the absence of her mother remained deeply embedded. She smiled and played along with the welcoming gestures, but the sadness in her eyes told a different story.

Saana and Sidharth, aware of the emotional challenges Shree faced, made a concerted effort to be there for her. They spent time with her, offering gentle encouragement and creating a safe space where she could express her feelings.

Sanaa, in particular, was attentive to Shree’s needs, engaging her in activities that might help her open up. They spent time reading together, playing games, and talking about her favorite things. Sidharth also took care to involve himself in Shree’s daily routines, ensuring she felt secure and cared for.

They both knew that the road to emotional healing would be a long one, but their commitment to Shree’s well-being was unwavering. They hoped that with continued support and love, Shree would gradually begin to heal and find the comfort and security she so desperately needed.

However, Saana began to notice something troubling about Shree’s behavior. Despite the child’s physical recovery, there were moments when Shree would say things that didn’t quite fit with her usually sweet and innocent demeanor. These phrases often hinted at loneliness or a deep sense of sadness, feelings that a child her age should not have to deal with.

Sanaa caught these phrases in passing, often when Shree was playing alone or talking quietly to herself. The words would slip out, fleeting but filled with emotion.

“Why don’t I have a mommy like other kids?” or “Maybe I’m not good enough to be loved…”

Sana's heart would ache every time she heard Shree say something like this. But despite her concern, Saana felt at a loss. She didn’t fully understand what was going on in Shree’s mind or how to address it. The words were troubling, but the root of Shree’s feelings remained elusive to her.

Unsure of how to proceed, Sanaa decided to seek guidance. She spoke to Sidharth one evening, her worry evident.

“Sidharth, I’ve been noticing something… Shree sometimes says things that sound so sad, so full of loneliness. I don’t know what it means or how to help her. It’s like she’s carrying this heavy burden, but I don’t know how to reach her.”

Sidharth listened intently, his expression growing more serious.

“I’ve noticed it too, Saana. I think we need to bring in someone who can help us understand what Shree is going through.”

Saana nodded in agreement.

“Yes, I think we should find a child psychologist who can talk to her. Maybe they can help us figure out what’s going on in her mind and how we can support her better.”

With that decision, Sanaa felt a small sense of relief. She knew that they were taking the right steps to help Shree, and she hoped that with the right support, Shree would eventually find the peace and happiness she deserved.

Concerned about Shree's well-being, Saana and Sidharth wasted no time in arranging a meeting with a child psychologist. They wanted to understand the depth of Shree’s emotional pain and how they could help her heal.
