Long time no see! Welcome once again to my Doors theories! Our analysis today is going to be about the recent update of the game: The Backdoor.

Backdoors' general overview

This update introduces us to a new subfloor and four additional entities: Lookman, Blitz, Haste and Vacuum. At the same time, it reintroduces Glitch and Curious Light, the latter, with more information and clues for the development of the story.

The Backdoor, as the name indicates, is the back area of the Hotel which is blocked by Curious Light's barrier and, to unlock it, you are required to obtain the "Detour" badge by entering The Rooms, BUT it is not required to complete Rooms in other to access The Backdoor.

Some of the new features added in this subfloor are: Time Levers, Vials of Starlight and the Bottle of Starlight, which will have a great importance later on

The goal of the player is to go from "Door -50" to "Door 0" in a limited time, with the addition of adding more time by pulling down the Time Levers. If we reach the end of the Backdoor, we will be taken by Curious Light back to the Hotel and our game will continue as usual.

New features

New features have also been added to the game in general (at a mechanical and historical/lore level). The most crucial were:

- The addition of the new entity Dread, considered an Easter Egg for now.

- The new animations for transitions (when you revive, travel another reality, etc.) and Curious Light's doorway/portal.

- A new animation of El Goblino and Jeff hiding when Rush or Ambush is present: this implies that the weakest entities are the most vulnerable. El Goblino even confirms it:
