Max
I've been in the station and out in the field all day. We went to the car and found a folder but it was practically nothing. I have a feeling something is off.
We went into the conference room and Broster started writing on the board. Ryder was there too.
"So we found discarded San Fran police clothes." Ryder said. "But no body."
I leaned back on the chair. "We also didn't find any blood. I was hoping we would find some kind of DNA or scale or fur but nothing." I got up and walked over to the board. "The address from the license plate led us to a boarded up house. No one was even in there." I said. I looked over to Ryder. "Okay Mr. Private Investigator, what else can we do?"
He sighed and stood up. "I'm going to get a cup of coffee." He walked out of the
My phone rang. It was Evan. "Hello?"
"Max, is Cat and Corbin with you?" He said frantically.
"No, they went to the mall. Why?" My body went cold.
"I got a call from Corbin and then I heard something in the background. Do you think they found her?" Evan asked. Evan knew what was going on.
"I don't know but I wouldn't put it past them." I said. "Evan watch everyone and don't leave until I come back."
"Sure thing." Then he started yelling for everyone. "Everyone in the house now!" I heard the boys asking why.
"Evan, what's going on?" Georgia asked.
"We're having a movie day, and staying out of the sun." Evan whispered.
"Boys, listen to your father." Georgia said. "I got Maxine."
"What do you want me to do Max?"
"Just watch and hold the fort." I said. "If anything happens, head to Uncle Albert's place up in the mountains." I said.
"Okay."
We hung up and I gave the mall cop my full attention. "I'm going to get some food, you want some?"
"Sure. I'll eat whatever you get."
"I'll be back."
Then a mall cop ran in here. "How can I help you?" The lady at the front desk asked.
"I saw a woman and a boy get kidnapped."
The lady started writing. "What did the two look like?"
"The boy looked like he was 14 and the lady looked like she was pregnant." I pulled the guy to the wall.
"Hey, wait." He said.
"Long brown hair lady and a boy with her?"
"Yeah." He said.
"Why didn't you call for back up or stop them?" I know all about being a mall cop.
"We tried but we would've started a war."
"He must be a rookie." I said.
"Yeah he is." The lady said. "Alpha Chester appointed him to the job."
I turned to the lady. "I want the whole police department after her. Call Alpha Chester and explain to him what is going on."
She picked up the phone and called.
I was walking down the hallway back to Broster and saw Ryder walk down the opposite of me. I slowed down my pace and saw an interrogation room. Once Ryder and the door was a line, I turned into a football player and tackled him into the room.
