The bowl burns my hand as I take it out of the microwave. I don't know how people do nothing; I can't just sit all day and eat.

Today is off and I have nothing to do. I watch a few movies, but now I'm bored, I need to get out for a while. Ocean looks at me, my lil baby wants to go out too. I put the leash on him, and he gives my hand a little lick; someone's excited.

I grab my keys as we make our way. I lock the door, and Ocean runs towards the car. I unlock it, and in a few minutes, we're on the road.

The day is winding down; the weather's not too cold though. I play some music and Ocean looks outside, barking at people. I love long drives so he does, it helps me clear my mind and somehow I find peace in that.

We stop at the beach, as soon as I open the door, Ocean runs outside. I quickly lock my car and chase after him.

Ocean's running towards the ocean, lol.

As I stop running after Ocean, I see him happily playing in the sand, covered in dirt, I can't even recognize him. His long tongue is sticking out, and then he excitedly runs back to me.

But as he jumps on me, we both tumble backward, getting all dirty in the process.

Now we both are hard to identify, I bet no one can. We play together for a while and it takes me back to the memory when I first saw him, he looks the same but bigger now.

''Freya, don't go far.'' Mom says as we get out of the car. We used to spend our weekends on the beach, it was the best time.

''Okay, mommy.'' I say, running towards the shore. Like every weekend, I play; making small sand castles everywhere so that I can step on them later.

I search for seashells, I suddenly hear the sounds of dogs barking. Curiosity sparks, I run towards them and find dogs fighting each other.

There is a big dog and a few small ones, it breaks my heart to see little pups getting hurt. Without hesitation, I grab a seashell and hurl it at the big dog, catching his attention.

We lock eyes for a moment, and then I take off running as fast as I can.

The sound of my pounding heart fills my ears as I sprint, and I accidentally bump into my mom. My dad looks behind me, and when the dog sees them, he quickly changes direction and runs away.
When I see him run away I start laughing, and my parents smile at me. Within a few minutes, I am back at that place and when I look, I don't find any pups except the one who is head to toe covered in dirt.

I smile at him and he jumps on me, I take him in my arms as we play together and in a short time we get so attached as we are equally dirty at the same time.

I want to name him; while playing on the beach where I found him, I name him Ocean, couldn't have been more fitting for anyone but him, it is just perfect.

After that day and today, we are together, he's my best friend, my closest and I love him so much.''
The sun is completely down, Ocean is tired and we both need to shower. I unlock the car and he sits, ruining my seats but who am I to complain.

I hop in the driver's seat, ready to hit the road. As I am driving, Ocean starts barking, when I see him looking at the ice cream. It's like he's saying, "I want ice cream!"

I pull over, I get out of the car, and make my way inside, in just a few minutes I'm back with ice cream for both of us. Ocean looks at me wagging his tail, ready to jump on me.

Before he could, I tell him no and put the ice cream beside him and get inside. Roads are mostly clear, no traffic. We're just a little far from our street, but it seems like Ocean cannot resist the ice- cream bag, he starts biting it and is about to rip it open, I look at him and the road.

The ice cream bag is about to fall. I quickly catch it, but in that moment, I accidentally take my eyes off the road. Then, with a loud thud, my car hits the car in front of us, causing a chain reaction and a bad crash.

Time seems to freeze as I witness the collision in front of me.

The car behind them can't stop in time and crashes into the back of the car. I see everything unfold right before my eyes. The front of my car bursts into flames, in the midst of all the chaos, I completely forget about Ocean.

I quickly grab his leash and we sprint outside as fast as we can. Suddenly, there's a loud noise coming from behind us. I turn my head to look, and in just a few seconds, I see the entire sequence of events unfold, my car and the other car I hit are in flames.

As Ocean barks at me, I feel something warm dripping from my head, and then everything goes dark as I collapse.
