Jaejin POV
I'm currently waiting for Hyein at our usual meeting spot before we head off to school together. She's running late due to oversleeping so I decided to kill some time by scrolling through my phone.
Yesterday was interesting and fun to say the least, especially during lunch time with Danielle and Hanni. They were both so welcoming and kind, I felt accepted almost immediately.
"Jaejin-ie!" Hyein's familiar voice echoed as she jogged towards you. "Sorry! Were you waiting long?"
"Kinda," I shrug and gently pat her head. "It's okay, though. Don't worry."
"Thoughtful as always, I see?" Hyein giggles and gently punches my shoulder. "I hope you're not going around sweet talking to every other girl you meet."
"Ya! What do you think I am, a playboy?" I playfully flick her forehead, earning a mocking face in return. After the banter, we started to walk our way to school.
We arrived at campus not long after, just in time before the first subject of the day. The teacher hadn't arrived yet, so we had time to relax on our chairs before classes started.
As Hyein and I take our seats, I notice someone looking in my direction.

I look back at her and wave my hand, mouthing a good morning with a bright smile. Her eyes widened in shock, giving me a meek wave of her own shortly after. Danielle seems to not arrive yet, which explains Hanni's layered reserved behavior.
"Such a shy little bean," I couldn't help but giggle to myself. Not long after, Danielle finally arrives, giving Hanni company.
I decided to pass the time by annoying Hyein to avoid boredom.

Hanni POV
I feel my cheeks flush as soon as Jaejin and I make eye contact. He mouths a morning greeting with his bright smile, waving his hand at me.
I meekly return the gesture, barely keeping my composure. Just then, Danielle arrives, ending my short interaction with Jaejin.
"Hey hey~ Sorry, I'm late, Phampham!"
"It's fine, Dani," I smile at her as she hugs me gently like the sweet friend she is. We immediately start talking to each other, updating one another on home life and stuff.
From the corner of my eye, I see Jaejin bickering with his best friend, Lee Hyein, who's got him on an arm lock.
