a wave of cold air spread around her room as the windows were shoved open but her best friend sebastian.
"seb! close the fucking window now." juliet groaned into her pillow, her dark hair splashed around her face covering her dark eye bags.
"ever since you and, well y'know had stopped speaking you've literally just been bed rotting! it's been like two months since we've all gone out, and so tonight is the night i won't take no for an answer." sebastian spoke with a huff. juliet had been out of bed, it was only mainly to brush her teeth and get some food but her bed had been her home.
juliet always felt a wave of guilt around her since that night 2 months ago.
maybe it was because everything that had happened was completely her fault, despite her constant efforts of trying to reason with herself.
in the end what happened between her and malachi was all due to her choices, how she decided to treat her best friend.

"CAN I ASK YOU A QUESTION?" nessa asked juliet who sat on the end of the couch with a small smile as she watched the tv screen, juliet quickly paused the movie before turning to the girl with a nod.
"when's the last time you spoke to malachi?" nessa asked, noticing how her best friends eyebrows widened a bit.
"like, uh two.. days ago." juliet said with a wince, "he's busy with zombies 4 and stuff."
"too busy he can't text you for like a minute or two? shall i message him?" nessa frowned, she knew juliet was really close with malachi and for them to not speak for two entire days was kind of worrying.
"n-no! no." juliet yelled at first, with her hands up before she took a breath. "nessa, we're just friends. he isn't obliged to message me every day."
"what happened to, don't call me bro juliet?! your definitely not friends julie we both know that. what are you keeping from me?" nessa pressed, she didn't mean to pry so much but juliet and malachi were her best friends. if there was something going on with them, she was bound to get into the mix.
"nothing vanessa! fuck, we are only friends, we can never be anything more than that. why is that so hard for you to understand?" juliet didn't mean to raise her voice, or call nessa by her full name, or swear at her. it's just she hated being pressed about things, she hated when people tried forcing things out of her even if they were just trying to help.
"wow juliet? seriously, i'm just trying to help you. you don't need to tell me what's going on, but just because your obviously going through something, doesn't mean you can project it onto me." nessa said as she stood up, grabbing her phone and heading straight out of juliet's door.
a frown appeared on the girls face, as she bit her lips trying to keep her tears in.
she didn't want to loose her friends all because she can't handle shutting out malachi despite his efforts to try and talk to her.
that was when she felt her phone buzz for what felt like the hundredth time that day.
