The white space

It used to be an alternative after-death place (mentionned in the first chapter)

It's appearance is pretty peaceful. You wake up in a room, entirely white with a bed, there isn't much decoration but there are other people outside of the room. Each individual would come out to the common space, entirely white as well, with a couch. The white space doesn't have any food or bathrooms since you do not feel any physicial needs. You also do not age.(physically). It's like physical time has stopped. There are a few distractions available in the common room, a few books, some art stuff, a little area with grass and a soccer ball with a single goal (the grass area has a sun simulation but the walls are still white). The white space has a single "employee" that's available to give mostly emotional advice. 

The white room can only be entered if you died by suicide, you are automatically sent there without the interferance of a grim reaper. It's a dimension which can have the similar feels of a weird mental hospital, it's purpose is to have a quiet calm space for individuals to "heal" emotionally and psychologically. Note that someone sacrificing themselves to save others is considered as suicide, meaning that someone getting shot to protect someone else from getting shot would've been sent there. (actually happened)

Once the soul is deemed "sane" enough, a portal is opened and their name is called, only the chosen individual can pass through, they are sent back to their dimension and resurected. The White space doesn't exist anymore due to some idiot breaking the portal, ripping through dimensions and destroying the place, so, now, suicide deaths are considered as any other death and sent to the same place as any other soul would. The white room is in progress to be rebuilt in the present timeline (3124) but won't be accessible for a while. It was destroyed in 3099. (so, if you wanna make stories based on this universe and a character dies of suicide BEFORE June 4th 3099, make sure they are sent to the white space. If they are present on that day, they'd probably witness the idiot breaking the portal (will write the scene somewhere, please don't invent a character breaking it, there's an actual scene) so you can add that scene. If they die after that day, don't mention the white space at all.)

People would usually stay in the white space for 1-5 weeks on average but some individuals stayed up to a few years sometimes. 

Note that, if you try to pass through a portal that isn't yours, you will be injured. It won't hurt but it also won't heal, it's a weird defect. (An exemple is one of my ocs who tried passing through a portal that wasn't his, a hole as big as a basketball digged through his chest. Since time stopped physically, the hole never healed, even when he came out of the white space. It doesn't hurt but he's constantly bleeding an infinite amount of blood, never suffering any blood loss issues. As much as this is bothering, he managed to block the hole on both sides with some sort of glass, keeping the blood in. He could've fixed it with something opaque but he "wanted to see his bones and the organs floating in there" (which is dumb because blood is pretty opaque so he probably would only see a small part of organs or bones if they touched the glass or with a massive light shining through it). He's one... special guy. He's also the one who broke the portal soooo, no surprise.)
