Everyone had returned to school. Kiyotaka met with Suzune as there was a chess board on the table.
Suzune: You're late.
Kiyotaka: I apologize. The meeting ran a little long.
Suzune: You've got 49 minutes left.
Kiyotaka: Alright. That's fine.
Kiyotaka plays a move with the Black Pieces. Suzune responds with the white pieces. They have a conversation while playing.
Kiyotaka: I'm going to contact Manabu.
Suzune: Brother?
Kiyotaka: Yes. I want to hear his opinion on something.
Suzune: I see.
Kiyotaka: You're welcome to join me.
Suzune: No. I'll see him at the gates like he promised. I'll show him how much I've grown.
Kiyotaka: You've certainly surpassed what he was capable of in his 3rd year.
Suzune looks at him surprised.
Suzune: You mean?
Kiyotaka: If we consider that he's grown since leaving ANHS for University it's safe to say you've caught up to him.
Suzune hasn't been able to respond for a while. She's left in shock.
Suzune: I'm glad.
Suzune feels an immense sense of fulfilment.
Kiyotaka: I am surprised though.
Suzune: About what?
Kiyotaka: You're able to read Chiori very well.
Suzune: I suppose I am.
Kiyotaka: I can't tell what she's thinking at all.
Suzune: Well there's a simple explanation to that.
Kiyotaka: ?
Suzune: You two are very similar and I've gotten used to reading the way you think. I just applied it to her.
Kiyotaka- I see. So it's a privilege she gets from dating me. How frustrating that I can't replicate it then.

Later that day Kiyotaka dials a number on his phone having bought contact with the outside world from Chabashira-Sensei along with Manabu's Phone Number. However, he is surprised to hear a woman's voice.
???: This is Horikita Residence. How can I help you?
Kiyotaka: Tachibana-San?
Tachibana: President? How are you contacting us right now?
Kiyotaka: Bought it with points. Tachibana-San. What are you doing at Manabu's residence?
Tachibana: I... um... I... Manabu-Kun. There's someone on the phone. It's the President.
Manabu: Kiyotaka. How can I help you?
Kiyotaka: It's been a while Manabu. 1 year to be exact. How have you been?
Manabu: I've been doing quite well.
Kiyotaka: I called you because I wished to discuss something with you.
