Chapter 21

The next weeks back at school were uneventful except for our senior winter formal which was so much fun. It was a winter wonderland theme and lights were twinkling everywhere and fake snow fell from the ceiling every so often, it was lovely and the principle and VP were even in a good mood. I do like my principle Mr. Chasing he has been very supportive to me during the times I have had issues at school and I know its not special treatment because of my mom, he genuinely cares about the students here not to mention all the help with Drew's baseball schedule, so every year my mom gives him a really nice holiday gift.

She signed up to volunteer at the dance and I know why. She said its because she already works for the board of education and needed some volunteer hours, (bullshit) then went on about she missed most of her school dances and wanted a second chance to see all the fun she missed. She thought she was too cool for school dances back then but secretly always wanted to go. Shes so weird sometimes. I tried to just avoid her but a few times she waved to us and did little clap like she thought we were cute. ugh mom please.

Mostly though she was talking to Mr.Chasing and giggling with an overly eager amount of interest and he was entranced by her. This cannot not happen at school or in front of my eyes please. They even danced and all the other volunteer PTA parents and staff were staring at them.

She finally admitted to liking him even though I knew, shit everyone knows now. He is sort of good looking in a grown up way. He's tall with medium brown salt and pepper hair, very blue eyes and some stubble and nice body. My mom calls him McSteamy from Greys Anatomy and I'm embarrassed to admit shes right. He got divorced two years ago so maybe my mom will get lucky! He asks about her every time we speak . My mother said he asked her to go to dinner after the New Year so he could thank her for the gift and she said yes. Thank heavens I'm graduating this year!

Things are much easier with Christian now that we have been together for 5 months. . I framed 2 of the pictures I drew of him and he loved them even though I thought they were crappy. I also drew one of us together and gave him the sketch on a sheet of paper. His mom loved them too and she hung one of them in his dad's office and Christian kept the other one in his room. His mom offered to pay me to sketch a photo of Elliot and Mia as well. I said no to the money and yes to the drawing. I drew them both last night but I'll wait a week to give them so they don't think I'm showing off. I'm not its just that I can draw a face just seeing it once, that's my secret talent, only my family and Kate knows.

I love him very much and I don't feel awkward, insecure or jealous anymore. I feel like I can just be myself. He is going away for 10 days over Christmas with his parents to Ireland to see his grandparents and some cousins. He has family in Cork and in Dublin Ireland. He told me he went 2 years ago and it was beautiful. My mom's side of the family is from Ireland but we have no family there and my father's ancestors are from England and Scotland.

The trip was planned a year ago and he has been looking forward to going. He said he got an international plan on his cell so he can call me every day plus we can text and FaceTime. I told him to just have fun and not to worry about me. He is so lucky and he said he will bring me back souvenirs. We are going to exchange holiday gifts when he returns.

I am staying around Tampa for the holidays and got a part time job at the mall working with Santa Claus. Clayton's is always closed this time of year for vacation. You would think being a hardware store they'd stock Christmas trees but they don't. They do most of the Christmas sales in mid November and early December. Mostly selling lights, electrical supplies to hang or mount lights, tree stands, or safety related supplies and of course online sales handled by a supplier. The Claytons always go skiing in Colorado for the holidays and the new year. It works out great for me because I never had to worry about working during Christmas or New Year's but this year I need the extra cash.

I'll be working in the winter snow globe themed display they have set up. It's so beautiful but the constant crying kids can drive a person mad. My job is to try to get the kids to smile by shaking a doll or clapping so the photographer can get a good photo. It's not like you need special skills for it and kids my age don't usually take pictures with Santa so I haven't come in contact with anyone I know. Christian did stop by to see me before he left and I just wanted to cry the rest of the day. I'm gonna miss him so much. We got to take a few selfies with Santa so that was fun!

It's sort of embarrassing working here but the pay is good plus I get a commission if they buy the photo package. A few teenagers occasionally do get on line here to joke around and sit on Santa's lap and ask for Ferrari's like a bunch of jackasses but it's kind of funny. One kid was bouncing on Santa's lap and asked for a stripper with big boobs and some tequila. Santa was going to pop him in the face, it was hysterical. The only sucky part is the wearing the elves costume because its long sleeve and gets too hot but it kind of looks cute on me and its very tight red spandex. I got hit on a few times by a few dads, gross!

Christian left on Dec 20th and he gets back on the 30th at like 10pm so I won't get see him that night. We have plans for New Year's Eve. We were invited to Connors house for a party. He and Alexa are still dating and she says they are in love so I am really happy for her.

Christian didn't call me as much as I hoped he would on his vacation but we did video chat twice. The time difference was hard because he was busy going everywhere with his family. I spent most of my time working at the mall, just putting in as many hours as I could.

It was great because I was able to shop before and after work depending on my hours for gifts for my family and Christian. I got Drew a new video game and a baseball jersey. I got my mom some candles and soaps from her favorite stores and PJ's. I Sent Justin a Barnes and Noble and Starbucks gift cards, and I got Ashley cute yoga pants and a tee from Pink.

Alexa and I also exchanged gifts I got her perfume and she got me a really nice eye shadow palette from Too faced. Kate and I exchanged gifts early in the month just to make sure our gifts would be on time. She got me a small jewelry box with an easel on it and put a best friend Pandora charm inside. She also sent me a scented sketch pad and fancy art pencils. I got her a new makeup train case and put some of her favorite MAC Cosmetic's products in it, the ones she can't get in Germany. and I got her a Pandora charm from the Disney collection.

She was so happy she was literally screaming when she opened it. I mostly got gift cards and money which bummed me out because I like opening presents.

I'm happy though about my $100.00 Lush gift card and I can't wait to use it. I especially love giving gifts. I feel like a little kid watching everyone's face light up when they open them. Christian was hard to shop for because he already has everything. I can't afford to spend that much on him but I felt like if I didn't get him something amazing then he would be disappointed.

I decided to get him a black leather jacket with the money I got as gifts along with my saved paychecks from the Santa gig. I also got him some nice PJ bottoms from A&F and a hoodie. I also wrote him a love letter and gave I'm a book of coupons offering him a free massage or a sexual favor. I know he will love that.

He texted me when he arrived home last night but we only spoke a few minutes he was so tired.

I so happy I'll see him tonight before the party. I am meeting him at his house to exchange gifts at 6pm then we are ordering pizza and going to the New Year's party at 9pm. I am super excited to see him. I have been missing him so badly these past 10 days. I would have loved to spend our holiday time off from school together. Luckily school doesn't go back until the January 8th so we still have a week to do stuff. I'm going to make the most of every minute with him.

Every year we get like almost 3 weeks off of school during the winter holidays from school which is nice. While I am getting ready to see my baby I feel like me knees are buckling. I have that same feeling just like on our first date only I really love him now. Just the thought of kissing him, touching him, even being in the same room with him gives me butterflies.

I hope he likes my new dress and shoes I bought for tonight. My dress is a very short tight black dress and its very low cut in the back and front. My shoes are also black in a shiny patent leather with an ankle strap and a very high heel. I love them they are the nicest shoes I have ever owned. My legs look super long in them. I just hope he doesn't think I'm dressed too sexy. My mom lent me a really gorgeous black leather jacket to wear over it. It's really short and the leather is super soft like butter and it looks like a motorcycle jacket. It's hot!
