Chapter-2

"I Andrei Romnavo, announces Maya Agnihotri my heir and the sole owner of 'AR group of Industries', as you all know that I don't have any family except her, she is my everything"

"And last but not least, I'm adopting Maya Agnihotri as my daughter but her identity will remain same unless or until she wants to change it" Mr.Romnavo said smiling warmly looking at Maya.

They both shared a warm hug and Maya said something which turned Mr.Romnavo emotional

"Thank you so much 'papa', I love you"

Only one word was able to describe what Mr.Romnavo was feeling, 'Happiness'

But this announcement created a huge commotion around the hall, nobody ever expected this to happen, almost everybody in the business world and the underworld wanted to have that place which was now given to Maya just like that,

Among all this commotion there's was a person who was smiling at their first victory, which was non other than Maya, she was one step closer to her revenge.

Party came to an end and till now almost every person has came up to Maya to be on her good books but did she cared? Absolutely not

Maya's Pov-

I have a father, i never knew what this word feels like, how it feels to have a father but now i do and it feels amazing, papa is really protective over me, loves me the most and treats me like I'm a fragile doll, that's how exactly i used to think my father would treat me, seems like I'm not that unlucky.

He was the only person who was there for me, he knows me in and out, my thoughts paused by a voice calling me, oh it's papa

"Printsessa(princess), you should go home, it's getting late"

"I'll go with you papa" i told him

"I have some work piled up, it'll take time, you go and call me when you reach okay" he said patting my head and of course i can never say no to him.

I smiled and said "okay, but don't be too late, and don't drink" he was about to argue but i cut him off with single glare amd he kept quiet like a kitten, sulking like a baby.

Did i tell you that this man who is apparently world's biggest businessman and a mafia leader is scared of my glare, he's cute sometimes.

It was 2 am when I reached my mansion, consumed in darkness and heart wrenching incidents, these walls hold those painful screams and i listen to them every single moment of my day.

I got freshen up and changed into comfy black pj's.

Now it's 4am and i still can't sleep because i have insomnia, it's really very difficult for me to sleep, i try every day but sometimes the clicking of clock, sometimes blowing wind, sometimes even my own heartbeat and sometimes those nightmares, they don't let me sleep

I came in balcony and lighted a cigar, sitting on the glass i started looking at the hustle bustle on the streets, it's true when people says 'there is no night in the cities'

I took my phone and called my secretary, he picked up my call at the last ring and sleepy cute voice came

"Hello ma'am, do you need anything?"

"What took you so long to pick up your damn phone?" I said with slightly raised voice showing my anger and frustration

And suddenly his sleep flew away and he spoke with most energy he could gather at that point "I'm really very sorry for my behaviour ma'am, next time I'll pick up your call on the first ring itself, I promise"

"Get your lazy ass out of your bed and come to my mansion with all project files, you have 30 minutes" I ordered him, i know he lives 2 hours away from my mansion but i love to torture people, specially him because i love to see his cute pout he makes whenever i shout on him or talk rudely....i mean i like to torture people so that's why i love the face they make, nothing else.

"Okayyyyy ma'ammmm" he said with so much disappointment in his voice, stretching his words like a snail walking.

"You have 30 minutes or else you're fired" i shouted on the call and threw my phone away and thankfully it didn't broke

I've no control over my anger, it takes a second to reach it's peak and than my mind becomes blank surrounded by clouds of anger that I don't able to see what I'm doing, but one good thing is my mind knows where to not burst and ruin things but the problem with that is, it bottles up inside me like a lava and than the outburst is horrendous.

Finally after 1 hour the bell rang and there stood my secretary in his pj's, messy hairs, specs on his nose trying to be steady, sleepy eyes, multiple files in one hand, other was holding a coffee holder holding two coffees in it and a three piece suit hanging on his forearm. In short, a complete mess and one thing about me, i HATE mess and messy PEOPLE.

He smiled sheepishly and took a step inside and that was it, the next second he was kissing the ground, all files got scattered around, the coffee had already ruined my black CURTAINS, What the fuck, those were handcrafted, and his three piece suit drank some coffee too, but my Curtainnnnssssss

In just 3 seconds my living room was looking like it just has gotten hit by a storm, my important files were scattered everywhere, all the paper got mixed up and it'll take a century to keep them together again, I've a important meeting in few hours and it's all fucking messed up just because of this grown up kid who can't even walk straight

It took me a minute to understand what just happened and the next

I could feel anger bubbling inside me, i was already sleep deprived, i was tensed for the upcoming meeting but this man decided to put cherry on top

I was not able to think straight and all I could see was this man, I shouted on the top of my lungs

"ABHIMANYUUUUU....
