Since joining Arsenal you had become extremely better at learning how to listen to your body after getting injured
You felt horrible a month after signing and playing for arsenal you tore your acl
The trainers have worked hands on with you since tearing your acl
It was also nice that Leah was injured at the same time as you so you didn't always have to go through it alone
Leah was a very wise mentor to you she took you under her wing without a second thought
She had played and done so much more than you professionally so it was amazing to learn from her
"Let's go for a walk" Leah says pulling you off the bench
"Can I chose where we walk this time" you ask laughing
"No can do I'm in charge I'm captain Remember" Leah says smirking
You follow along side Leah
"How do you feel about getting back on the pitch soon" Leah asks
"Nervous honestly what if I tear it again or I'm not as good as I was" you say to Leah
Leah stops walking and looks at you studying you almost
"Y/n sweetheart you have put in all the work and the team and staff have said you're almost ready I understand being cautious but the whole team is here to support you" Leah explains
"I just have a mental block right now that's scared to push it" you explain
"And that's okay you should speak to Beth and viv about this darling they helped me a lot" Leah says
"I will talk to beffy and viv" you say smiling at Leah as you start walking again
Once you arrive at the pitch all the girls run over to you and Leah
Katie grabs you and picks you up in a hug
"There's my girl look at you looking so strong and look at your knee all free without a brace" Katie says excited
Caitlin steals you from Katie's arms
"Y/n/n you look great how is it feeling" Caitlin asks
"Feels good I just don't wanna push it to soon" you explain
Caitlin hugs you
You walk back over to Leah and lia
"Hello lovely" Lia says wrapping her arms around your waist
"Doesn't she look lovely" Leah says winking
You are blushing beat red
"Leave the child alone Leah" Lia says shoving Leah softly
You laugh and dodge Leah's smack by hiding in lias arms
"How was practice" you ask Lia
"It was good did practice games not to much today" Lia says
Beth walks over to you
"How are you love" Beth asks
"I'm doing pretty good" you say and Leah glares at you
Beth sees the glare Leah sends at you
"Leah is that true" Beth asks Leah
"Stop teaming up on me" you whine trying to wiggle out of lias arms you hate confrontation
Lia holds you closer to her not letting you run away from this conversation
"Relax love" Lia whispers in your ear as Leah and Beth talk to each other
You feel your anxiety skyrocketing
Beth turns back to you with Leah
"There's nothing wrong with how your feeling dear" Beth says softly
You look at her with tears on the brim of falling
Leah's shocks you when she crushes you in a hug in between Lia and her
You sniffle in the embrace
"This is why it's important to talk things through dear" Beth says wiping your tear off your cheek
"I'm bad at talking" you say laughing
"Oh we know that's why we have to push you sometimes" Lia says from behind you
You all laugh at that
"Just give talking to viv a chance" Beth asks
"I trust viv heck I trust all of you but I just can't seem to actually say it" you say frustrated
"I'm proud of you sweetie" Beth says softly and you hug her
Two weeks later
You were officially cleared to play again
Viv finds you in with the trainers getting your knee and legs stretched
"Hey bug" viv says softly coming to sit by you
"Hi viv" you say
"How do you feel" she asks
"Anxious" you say
"Why to play again or to play with your knee" viv asks
"With my knee" you say honestly
The trainer leaves after finishing your knee
Viv moves to sit on the end of the bed next to your knee
"Jonas wouldn't put you on if he wasn't hundred percent sure you were ready you know that" Viv says
"I know it's just in my head" you say
"You just gotta learn to tune it out don't listen to the bad stuff" Viv says putting her hand on your knee
You smile at her
"Thanks viv I'm ready" you say standing up
