Showing you were injured was a weakness well atleast that's how you were raised and your girlfriend mariona really hated that you always would just push your injuries to the side never really caring when it was your injuries only caring when it was one of your teammates

This match you were being targeted because Everton knew you were lined up to be scoring the goals so they had been taking you out left and right collecting cards

First a dirty slide with spikes up hits you square in the ribs causing you to break a couple rips you hear the crack and feel as you take shaky breaths trying to breath even with how much it hurts you to breath

Mariona rushes to you pulling you up off the ground kissing your check

"Are you alright love" she asks looking you over

You hold your breath so she can't see you wince when you breath

You lean into her touch enjoying the warmth she gives you

The ref blows the whistle for play to continue which saves your ass form anyone else asking you more questions if you were okay to keep playing

Alessia ran up to you

"You alright y/n/n" alessia asks

You give her a fake smile and a thumbs up

While running you really feel the rib pain getting to you bending over at one point clutching your ribs

The rest of the game you get take out again getting headed in the nose probably breaking it

Your adrenaline was running low at the end of the match and you just needed a nice hot shower before heading home

You waited till everyone was done showering so you could shower alone not get bombarded by questions  from your teammates and most importantly your girlfriend

Once everyone is out of the showers you head in basking in the hot water feeling great against your swollen and bruised nose and your cracked ribs finally being able to breath while in the hot water

Once done with your hot shower you drive home and enter to see your girlfriend sitting on your couch with a very serious face making you feel uneasy

She stands up with her arms crossed with a raised eyebrow

"You are obviously injured and you just don't care" mariona says gently touching your bruised swollen nose causing you to flinch under her touch

She frown

Than she lifts your shirt gasping at the bruises on your abdomen

"Oh my stubborn love you kill me" she says sighing running a hand over her face

"I don't like seeming weak" you say quietly looking fragile to your girlfriend

"Hey hey baby you aren't weak for getting injured it means you are human like everyone else my super star" she whispers kissing your forehead before wiping the tears that were falling down your face

She leads you to your bed laying you down before she straddles you examining your injuries

"Let me take care of you baby" she says

And you nod kissing her
