003. Study date

"I like when it's just me and you" I responded back once she backed away from giving me kisses. Kate smiled at me and that reminded me of the facial masks. "Oh shit. Let's go wash our faces." I got up and Kate groaned, objectively getting up. She lazily walked behind me while she made load groans to get my attention.

"Honey. Quit it." And with that being said she stopped. I walked into the bathroom and cut the light on. I turned the sink on and started to rinse my face, when I was done Kate rinsed her face. I grabbed my towel and wiped my face. Kate had her own for when she came to stay over.

She wiped her face and picked me up, throwing me over her shoulder. She walked out of the bathroom and my room then went downstairs. She placed me down and started to get the ingredients, preparing them. We started to make vanilla cupcakes, having fun in between.

Both of us were covered in flour but we didn't care too much about it. I got out the toppings which were sprinkles, Oreos, and strawberries. Kate started to frost the cupcakes since that was her favorite part and while she did that I crushed up the oreo's. Taylor Swift could be heard from my speaker upstairs.

Kate was silently singing the lyrics. I loved when she did that but I wish she would sing a little louder. She says that she gets nervous knowing that people are actually listening which is crazy considering she plays basketball in front of millions of people.

I finished crushing up the Oreos and walked behind Kate, wrapping my arms around her. I tried to stand on my tippy toes to look over her shoulder but that didn't work so I stopped. Kate looked over at me and smiled. She finished frosting the cupcakes and turned towards me, putting some frosting on my nose.

I gasped and threw a cherry at her. We ran around the counter trying to get food on each other. I tried to trick her but Kate caught me. She grabbed me by my waist and started to kiss me all over my face. I giggled the whole time. Every moment spent with her felt so magical and she always tried to make me feel like the only woman in the world, despite her hiding me.

We stopped and stared at each other. The smile on our faces never going away. The sound of a phone ringing made us pull away from each other. Kate went towards her phone and answered. I heard her saying simple yes and no's. She hung up the phone and let out a loud sigh. I walked towards her and hold her.

Kate looked at me. "Uhh my coach called wanting me to explain what happened and ask if I was actually dating you." Her lips turned into a thin line and her eyes started to drop. "Anyways though this isn't about anyone else, just me and you right now."

I let out a laugh as I remember everybody trying to figure out if we were actually dating during our first year of college. Kate smiled at me and gave me another kiss. She's always so happy to give me kisses and I love her for that. "You remember when you kept trying to find ways to go on a date with me?"

Kate let out a sigh and rolled her eyes. "That's not funny. Everybody kept telling me to give up but guess what? My efforts paid off." She pointed her thumbs at herself and smirked. I laugh and nod my head. "Yeah that's so right Honey." The memories of her persistently asking popped up in my head but only one memory really remained.

"So you're saying that you got a date with my Kate martin and declined!" Jada shockingly yelled. A couple of people turned towards us and others just went on about their days. I smile and roll my eyes. "Well yeah jada, her friends were across from us just laughing, I thought she was tryna be funny. Plus she was not asking me out on a date so don't put it like that."

Jada swiftly turned around and put both of her hands on my shoulders, shaking me. "Kate doesn't just ask people out — in fact I don't think i've ever seen her with girl like that. You're like living every girls dream." Jada says, all cheerfully. I took her arms off me and continued walking to class.

"Nadineee just for once can you show interest in one girl and if the little date doesn't work out thenn I won't bother you about this anymore." Jada whined. I rolled my eyes. "You only want me to go on a date with her because you're close with her."

She hushed down after I said that and continue to walk with me to class. When we got to class, most people were already in there but Kate stood out the most. She was already staring at us like she was waiting or something. "Mrs.Jordan would you like to stop daydreaming and find your seat?" The teacher snapped his fingers in my face, making me snap out of my trance.

Jada had already went to her seat which was by her boyfriend while I went and sat beside Kate. I walked towards my desk as Kate watched my every move. Once I sat down she turned her head towards me. "You're really not going to let me take you on a date?" She asked.

I let out a few blinks before opening my mouth. "Kate you didn't say date. You said that you wanted me to help you study for a test." Kate let out a sigh and leaned forward. "Okay then a study date or whatever it's called." It was cute that she wouldn't give up on me. I let out a small giggle. "Mm we'll see."

The memory made me laugh considering we did end up going on the study date. That was our first time ever kissing and god was it amazing. After that there was more dates and little hang outs. Now we're here, older and more mature. Somehow she managed to open up a part of me that I didn't even know.

I used to be so mean to her and I don't even know why. I guess a part of me just didn't want to get hurt since she was popular but i'm so glad that I did open up to her and be myself around her. "What are you thinking about?" Kate asked, pulling me more closer.

"How much you've changed me." I said and pulled her into a hug. Her warm embrace comforted me and her nice perfume filled my nose. Kate rubbed her hands up and down my back. I pulled away and walked towards the cupcakes. Kate watched me with a smile. I motioned her towards me and she instantly came towards me.
