"Wonderful." Rory commented as he noted more down on his notepad, prompting Amelia to raised her eyebrow in amusement.
"Is my complicated life exciting you?" She asked with a smirk placed on her lips.
Rory looked dazzled as he looked back up to face his subject, quickly placing his pen down and shaking his head.
"Your life has been very exciting, Amelia. I-I didn't want to make it look like I was enjoying the misery you must've gone through during these years in your life." Rory said.
Amelia thought his nervous behaviour was sweet and simply chuckled after he had finished rambling on. She was just winding him up after all.
"I'm teasing." She giggled quietly.
"Oh." Rory chuckled once as his face turned red. "Would you like to take a break? I'd like to speak with Daniel, if you wouldn't mind?"
Amelia smiled sweetly as she stood up from her chair, reaching for the bottled water she had beside her corner. "No, that's fine. I'll send him through."
Rory thanked Amelia and watched as she left the room, wondering how one woman could be so captivating and overwhelming interesting. It was clear that he was forming some attachment to the actress.
"Knock knock." Daniel said as he pushed his head around the door and welcomed himself into the room. "You must be Rory." He said with a confident voice as he stepped forwards and extended his hand to shake the unknown man in the room.
Rory, being quite a big fan of motorsport, shook off the nervousness and stood up from his chair, colliding his firm hand with Daniel's to shake. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr Ricciardo."
Daniel laughed once as he removed his hand from the grip of Rory. "Daniel, please. Mr Ricciardo is my father and that just makes me sound old."
"My apologies." Rory said. "Please take a seat." He extended his hand once more and pointed towards the vacant seat which was once occupied by Amelia.
"You spent a while with Amelia." Daniel said as he faced Rory and crossed one leg over the other. "I bet you think I'm a right arsehole, don't you?"
Rory shook his head as he rearranged the pen and paper on his bent knee. "Why would I think that?"
"Well, I cheated on my fiancé and lied to her for a while, just to earn a bit of money for my new team, all to get back and Amelia's stupid uncle." Daniel said boldly before he bit down on his lip. "I sound like a right arsehole."
"I couldn't possibly comment." Rory said politely. "I'm here to write, not to form biased opinions of my subjects."
"I'm just a subject?" Daniel queried with a perplexed face. "I thought that this book would've had a more personal feel to it."
"It will." Rory nodded with a smile. "It'll be personal from Amelia's perspective. Not from yours."
"So, you won't be forming an opinion of me in your work?" Daniel asked again.
"It'll be a fair story from your side. The reader will form their own opinion of you. I'm not writing you to be a saint, and I'm also not writing you to be a sinner either." Rory assured the driver in front of him. "Is that clear?
