Amelia's POV

My head was pounding and my throat felt so hoarse and dry when my eyes decided to try to at least open this morning. I rolled over from my back, and reached for my phone which I hoped was left on the table beside my side of the bed.

My hand patted on top of the platform until it felt something which was phone shaped, only to almost blind myself with the light from the screen.

"Owww..." I whined to myself as I tightly shut my eyes closed and groaned.

"What's the matter, baby?" Daniel groaned next to me as he shuffled, hearing me moaning about the intensity of a phone light. His voice was deep and gravely.

"The light." I informed him as best as I could before my eyes re-opened to look at the time. "Christ, it's already eleven." I told him, noticing that the time was getting on.

"You're kidding?" Daniel asked as his head shot up, wincing in return as his headache was also affecting him too. "Baby, we missed the flight."

"I'll arrange another." I told him as my eyes shut again. "Let's sleep."

"We can't sleep." Daniel groaned as he leaned across and placed his arm across my stomach and shuffled closer to me, placing his lips by my ear as he spoke gently. "We're seeing your dad later."

"Don't remind me." I complained as I finally turned myself into Daniel's warmth and tucked up into him. "Just want to stay here."

"I'd love to." Daniel agreed in a hum. "However, your dad is cooking us dinner, and we told him we'd be there on time."

"We will." I giggled into his bare chest, knowing full well we didn't have enough time and we'd need to make a move immediately.

"Come on." Daniel pecked my head before rising from the bed, holding his head as he did. "Jesus, how much did we drink last night?" He grumbled before his hands fleeted through his curly hair.

"You won, love." I reached my hand out and touched his side as I lazily rolled over again. "You deserved to let your hair down."

"Let my hair down?" Daniel chuckled. "I think I did far worse than that."

"Hmm..." I hummed in agreement. "Maybe the tattoo wasn't a good idea."

Daniel chuckled before I watched as he looked at his thigh with a groan, "Why did I think it was okay to get this tattooed on me?"

"I think it's cute." I complimented as my nails ran over his thigh as I slowly rose from the bed myself. "Kinda sexy." I hummed to myself.

We'd got a little wild last night, to say the very least. Daniel had won and we were all ecstatic. Especially after the shit news we'd had recently, it gave us a small moment to enjoy ourselves. Plus, Daniel and I had chance to reunite after three very long weeks apart.

Going into the parlor last night wasn't on the cards, but considering Max was getting his first tattoo, Daniel wanted to support him in showing Max that it wasn't that bad. Daniel's choice to get a lion etched on his thigh was a surprise, but one that I didn't particularly mind.

Well, it was better than the talking sausage he wanted instead.

"As much as I'd like to show you just how sexy it is," Daniel said as he buried his head into the crook of my neck, "we've really got to get going."

"I know." I groaned before jumping out of bed, stark naked, collecting items throw around the room, "I just can't bring myself to meet this woman, you know?"
