"Oh, love, what are you doing here?" I asked Yasir as I removed my gloves, throwing them away. I walked up to him, wrapping my arms around him. "I just came to sign some files," he replied, kissing the side of my head, making me smile.
"Okay, my shift will be over soon, and then we can go home together," I said, and he smiled, nodding. "I will see Mr.Adil until then," he said, pecking my lips before I could react, and then ran off, leaving me wide-eyed. "Shameless man," I muttered, touching my lips, trying to control the red blush on my cheeks.
I walked into the assistant's room to discuss the new case with the others. I still couldn't control the blush on my face. I knew Nazli would tease me about it.

"I have heard that a girl dies from inside when her father dies," Dr. Adil said as he sat in his chair. "Even though Yazia and her father's relationship wasn't strong anymore, her childhood memories were enough to leave a trauma," he continued, looking at me.
"Yazia has gone through too much, even before meeting you, Yasir," he stated, making me sigh. "I am not going to beat around the bush. I made her visit the hospital psychologist. I talked to him after their sessions, and she is not doing well. She is pressurizing herself. She is bottling up her feelings, and you need to help her open up," he explained, and I pushed my hair back.
"I am worried. Tell me what things are stressing her so much," I asked, and he shook his head. "It will be better if she tells you that," he answered, making me sigh. "Okay, then. I will talk to her. Her shift must be over," I said, and he nodded with a smile.
"And remember one thing, Yasir. You are most precious to her. You keep her going. Don't do anything stupid that you will regret later on," he said, and I nodded with a smile. "She is most precious to me too. She is a blessing from Allah. I will treat her like a queen, don't worry," I replied, and he smiled.
"I trust you with my late best friend's daughter," he smiled, making me chuckle as I walked out of the room. I sighed, walking towards the assistant's room as I pushed my hair back. Why does she hide everything from me? Why does she make herself suffer all alone?
I walked into the assistant's office to see her talking to Ali and Nazli. She looked at me with a smile. Her smile didn't reach her eyes as usual. She didn't smile brightly. Those light hazel eyes didn't light up when she smiled. Her gazelle eyes were empty. I felt guilty for not realizing it earlier. I felt guilty for not being with her when she was going through hard times.
I gazed at her eyes for a few minutes. Nazli dragged Ali out of the room, excusing herself, and I walked towards Yazia, who smiled at me kindly. Why does she have to act so strong? I wrapped my arms around her, bringing her close to me. "My love, is everything alright?" She asked, wrapping her arms around me.
"I am alright. I just missed you a lot," I said, making her chuckle. "Let's get the kids and go home. We will make something together. The workers are on holiday for today and tomorrow," she said, and I hummed, kissing her forehead.
"What did you do today?" I asked her as I held her hand. "Today we dealt with a lot of patients, you know," she grabbed her bag from the table, and we walked outside while she kept talking about her day. I couldn't help but be worried. She was covering it so perfectly.
We got in the car, and I drove off towards eomma's house. We talked about random things on our way. She said that Ferman and Benish were planning on marrying next month. "Yasir," she called me, and I hummed.
"Did Hoseok talk to you about, you know?" She sighed, and I nodded. "Trust Hoseok, my love. You know he is not someone who plays games," I said, and she hummed. "I am just worried for Amal. You know her grandparents are pressurizing her to get married," she said, and I nodded.
