-" I'll tell you the greatest regret of my life. I let my love go."

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, groaning and smacking my phone hoping to turn it off. I didn't. I rolled over and grabbed my phone turning off my alarm and sighed. School. Great. I really shouldn't have stayed out with Leo until 4 a.m when I wake up for highschool at 5:30 a.m. Smart right?
I dragged myself around, trying to get ready while barely staying awake. My eyeliner wasn't even bomb because I was so tired. My winged eyeliner is always bomb. I picked out my favorite flannel and threw it on and pulled on my black skinny jeans, hoping around trying to get them over my butt.
I took one last look in the mirror and ran downstairs grabbing a poptart and grabbed my keys and bag.
"Mom, August, I'm taking the truck today!" I hollered and ran out the door. Technically, the truck was August's truck but I loved driving it to school. I looked so badass in it.
"Okay sweetie, have a good day!" Mom hollered back from in her room. Mornings were always busy. My older brother August and my mom both had jobs. I was only sixteen so I had just started looking for one.
I jumped into the truck and put it in reverse, backing out of the drive way and turned up the volume way up high, I also listen to my favorite band in the morning.

"Lilac.......Lilac, I'm asking you a question. LILAC" I think I heard someone yelling at me, but I also think I saw a really hot guy, not sure. I realized I was being shook and jerked away
"WHAT!" I sat up and I was face-to-face with my least favorite teacher. Great. I fell asleep, again.
"This is the second time you've fallen asleep in my class this week." She crossed her arms and glared at me. "You need to engage your brain, and you can't do that when you're sleeping in my class." Hate her.
"Right, sorry. I apologize Ms. Shell." I gave her one of my famous fake smiles and batted my eyelashes "it won't happen again, I promise" she just shook her head and continued on talking about things that weren't even relevant to science. It was easy to fall asleep in her class even when you had more than one hour of sleep. You could understand why I had dozed off.

Finally, lunch. The only time I get to see Madi. I hadn't had the chance to tell her what had happened this night- technically, morning.
Madi smiled at me and patted the seat next to her, the seat she always saves for me.
"Lil! I'm so happy to see you!" I groaned and put down my stuff, plopping down on the seat. "What's wrong with you?" She eyed me up and down.
"I have a looooong story to tell you" I smirked slightly as she widened her eyes. After I'd told her the whole story she was freaking out.
"Did you guys have sex?!"
"Oh my god, no! I would never! We literally just cuddled." I put my head in my hands. Jesus, Madi.
"That's a shame" I glared and her and she laughed, "you know I'm joking, I haven't even kissed a guy and I'm a sophomore." I rolled my eyes
"Yeah, I know you haven't. But Madi, I don't know if I should really forgive him."
"In my opinion, I think you should play hard to get" she winked at me and started laughing again.
"Madi, I'm serious!"
"And so am I! Guys go crazy over a girl they can't have. Just take Jeff for example, he has the biggest crush on me and I've been playing hard to get for years! He's still obsessed with me till this day" I laughed. It was true, she'd known Jeff since they were little and he's always had a crush on her, she just doesn't feel the same.
"I don't know if I can do that, I do want him. I shouldn't after all he's done, but maybe he's really changed." I looked behind me towards his usual table. I've dated a few guys from his friend group, they're all kind of nerdy. That's most of the guys that I date, nerds. They're so adorable. He was laughing and talking to one of my exes and also his best friend, Kirk.
"I know you do, and I don't blame you." Madi sighed and nodded her head towards the lunch line. I shook my head no and looked down. "Lil, I know how you feel about yourself, but you really need to eat." I stayed silent and kept staring at the table. She eventually got up and left, returning with her usual food and a bag of my favorite chips and threw them at me "Lilac, you better fucking eat, bitch."
I started hysterically laughing and took the bag "Thanks, Madi" I munched on them slowly, I've missed these so much.
She was laughing too, she usually never cusses so it was always hilarious when she did. "Any time, I gotta look out for you. You're my other half, dude."
"Yeah, I know dude." We both laughed it off and ate, talking about our classes and other drama, just like any other day.

I'd been laying in bed for awhile when my phone went off, telling me I had a text.
Leo: Hey cutie
Lilac: Don't call me that
Leo: But you're my cutie
Lilac: Leo, I'm forgiving you, not baring your children. I'm not your anything.
Leo: We'll see. (;We continued to talk for a few hours until I got tired. After we said goodnight to each other, I sent screenshots of the convo to Madi and talked about it with her, which was pretty normal.
I had just changed into my sleep clothes, a long t-shirt and no pants, my favorite. I checked my phone and saw that Leo had texted me.
Leo: I know I already said goodnight but, last night was one of the best things I've ever done. Goodnight Lilac, I miss you and I wish you were here cuddling with me (: sweet dreams
I smiled and turned off my light, climbing into bed and drifted off instantly. Thank god it was Friday.
