Moving On Chapter Five

It'd been a few days after seeing Leo at the mall, and I was still upset over it. He had tried to text me on multiple occasions but every time he did I turned off his notifications. I wasn't going to deal with him.

School had been torture because he would come up to me in hallway and try to talk to me, and I'd just look past him and keep walking towards my class. I'm a horrible person, I know. But I really needed to focus on school. Okay, that was a lie. Even when I didn't focus on school I got good grades, it was a gift. I still had better things to worry about other than him though.

I was trying to get over the whole thing but it was kind of hard. Madi couldn't even really help. I honestly have more guy friends than girls, Madi is my closest friend that's a girl. My guy best friend, James, knew of Leo and how he was. So, he wasn't too surprised when I told him what happened.

James has always been the guy that girls die for. He's 6'2 and he's on the wrestling and football team. Total package right? Wrong. I mean he was my closet guy friend, but he could still be a total asshole and we got into arguments a lot. I've always kind of had a thing for him but he doesn't feel anything at all for me besides a friend, and as he has once told me, a possible "fuckbuddy". How flattering.

"Lil, you asked for this. I told you he's worse than me" James smirked and combed his fingers through his blonde hair.

"I don't think that's possible" I glared at him and he laughed, patting my head. There was a huge height difference between us. I'm 5'1, he's 6'2. Big difference. "Hey, don't mess up my hair! What if I messed up yours!"

"If only you could reach my hair" he laughed again and laughed even harder when I tried to jump up and reach his hair. "Give up, shortie"

I groaned and crossed my arms "James, you're forgetting my problem here."

"Oh, I'm not. My problems are just worse. Jacqueline doesn't want to have sex with me and it's a total bummer. She's so sexy" I made a gagging sound and shook my head

"Didn't you just get out of a relationship with Rose?"

"Yeah, so? I'm also trying to hit up Jennifer."

"You've dated her like four times"

"Five, there's a difference. But, I wanna fuck her so why not."

I shook my head and smacked his arm. Pig.

"Hey, don't be mad. You know we can hook up anytime you want, Lil" he smirked and wiggled his eyebrows. I punched him in the arm and walked ahead of him to our next class. I hate James when he gets like that. Men are useless.

I groaned and slammed my head on the cafeteria table.

"Lil, I wouldn't do that. The tables are disgusting." Madi said gently as she put her stuff down. "Plus, you'll mess up your makeup which, is also bad because you need to show Leo what he's missing out on."

I kept my head down on the table and she sighed.

"Are you crying?"

I shook my head no.

"Are you eating today"

I shook my head no, again.

"Alright Lil, I'll be back. Don't hurt yourself while I'm gone."

A few minutes went by and she came back and sat down with a tray lunch with pizza. I looked up at her and She picked up the pizza,pointing it at me

"You sure you don't want some?"

"I'm okay, Madi. Thanks."

"Lil, open the door." August yelled over my music, knocking on the door. I had my face buried in my pillows.

"No!" I yelled back and curled up into a ball.

"Lil, come on, don't make me get the key"

My mom had a key to my room for when I wouldn't come out to eat or anything. I don't blame her, she could go days without seeing me.

I groaned and got up, wiping my eyes. They were probably still red from crying. I unlocked the door and walked back to my bed and sat down.

August walked in and stopped, looking at me. "Have you been crying?"

I shook my head no.

"I don't believe you but, would it make you feel better if we played video games together and I order pizza?"

I smiled really big and wiped my eyes "Yes"

"Alright then, get up and let's go"
