Chapter 13 - James' Awkward Laughter

James' POV

As soon as the girls left, Sirius exclaimed,

"Right, we've got to show those girls who's boss?"

"Who is boss, James?" Asked Peter stupidly. At times like this, I wonder why we're friends with him.

"We are, Peter you idiot!" Replied Sirius. I noticed that Remus was being very quiet about this.

"Hey! Remus, what do you suggest for a prank?"

"Well... We could put dye in their shampoo bottles." Sirius snorted.

"That's so amateur, I would expect Pete to think of something like that."

"Hey!" Shouted Peter, slightly offended.

"Just kidding. Chill!"

"At least I have an idea. Why don't you suggest something Mr I'm Better Than Everyone." Argued Remus.

"I can't think of anything. Jamesiekins! What's your idea, seeing as you got us into this whole prank war thing?" Sirius questioned.

"Let me think." I paused for a second to think. "We could get a hundred cats dressed as lions, for Gryffindor pride, and leave them in their dor-" I started to laugh too much to finish my sentence. Just the thought of their faces when they saw their dorm ruined was too much to handle.

"Ummm, James, are you okay?" Peter asked hesitantly. I had rolled off my bed due to my laughter and was now flailing around on the floor, while laughing hysterically. The three boys were sat staring at me blankly, not finding anything funny.

"It'd be hilarious! They should scream and then-" I stopped explaining, having noticed that no one was laughing with me.

"Okay, anyways, moving on, we need something that's actually a good prank." Sirius said, breaking the awkward silence that I had created.

"We could fill their dorm room with balloons!" Peter exclaimed suddenly. That was surprisingly a good idea.

"Yes! That's amazing. But we cam charm them to be unbreakable so they can't get in to their room!" Suggested Sirius.

"We can also stick pictures of our faces on them so they will remember how beautiful we- I mean I am." I added.

"So now that we have a plan, we need to research the spells. Who wants to go to the library?" Remus asked.

"Uuuuum, well I thought you would do that, while Sirius and I get the balloons." I didn't want to go to the boring library, it's for boring Ravenclaw nerds, or, well, Remus.

"Yeah! Let's go Jamesie-Poo!" Sirius shouted, grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the room. As I was dragged by a very energetic Sirius, I heard Remus say,

"I swear, those two are in love."

"Nah, James loves Lily too much, but if they were gay..." Peter answered.

Sirius carried on pulling me to the stairs, where I finally got free. We ran down them and when we got to the common room, we jumped onto an empty sofa. I looked out of the window, to see darkness. I just realised it was the middle of the night.

"Um, Siri-Bear, we have a small problem."

"What?"

"Well, it seems to have escaped our notice, but it is currently 1:24 in the morning. So we can't go out of the common room because we'll get detention, and my mum has owled me about twenty times already about not sneaking out."

"Oh. Let's go to bed then, and find the balloons tomorrow, seeing as it's Saturday."

We slowly got up off the sofa and walked sluggishly towards the staircase. The time of night seemed to finally get to us. We walked in to our dark dorm. Remus, Peter and Frank were already snoring. When had Frank come up? I don't remember seeing him coming in. Sirius and I silently changed out of our clothes and into our pyjamas and fell asleep almost instantly.

A/N: I'm sorry this one was a bit short, (it's only about 600 words) I didn't really know what to write for this chapter, but hopefully the next one will be longer, better and sooner.

Edit of edit: um hi. this is now the future, and i havent updated this since 2016 (rip im so sorry!!) and its now 2019. i randomly remembered about this account, and seeing all the comments was so nice, and i feel really bad for not finishing this fic, but ive had this as a draft for 3 years apparently, so im just gonna publish this, but im not sure if ill be finishing it as  i havent been on wattpad for around 3 years, im not really into harry potter that much anymore (i still love it obviously, but ive moved on to different things), and also i havent written real sentences in over a year (im doing a levels now and i didnt pick english so i literally cannot write proper words) but,, not to get anyone's hopes up that ill continue this, but if i manage to find some time this summer i might consider at least writing a chapter or two, but i honestly cant really remember what really happened in this so id have to read it all again. so no promises and dont hope for anything, but theres a 1% chance i might come back.
