EIGHT

THE NEXT DAY, LUNCH
SOKKAS POV
"So you 2 are together now?" Katara asks, curious.
"Yeah!" I say and look at Zuko with a loving look, he's most obviously blushing.
"Oogies?" Toph asks Aang and Katara. "Oogies." They say, almost in sync. And we all laugh
"Well, I'm happy for you 2!" Aang says genuinely, and Katara nods with a half moon smile.
"Thanks" I say.
"So have you guys kissed yet?" Toph says. Both me and Zuko blush furiously.
"Ehhh.." Zuko whispers.
"Yea they totally kissed, I can feel their heartbeats!" Toph jokes. Aang and 'tara giggle and I can't help to chuckle also.
"Well, basketball practice is about to start, me and Zuko better get going!" I remember.
"Um, we'll about that. I kinda left the basketball team and joined the photography club." Zuko makes out.
"Ouhh.. That's fine!" I reply. "But I gotta go, see you guys!" I take off running.
ZUKOS POV
I cant believe it! Sokka is my boyfriend. Boyfriend. I never even thought this would happen. I think this is the happiest i've been in a while. Even if it doesn't show.
AFTER SCHOOL
Today I won't be able to hangout with the gaang since I'm having a shift at the Jasmine Dragon. I've already told uncle about the events, and he is almost as happy as me. I'm so lucky to have some like him. On my way back home, I get a text from Sokka.
S ❤️ : ZUKO!! WHERE'D YOU GO :(
Ziki: Relax, I'm just going to the Jasmine Dragon to help out my uncle
S ❤️ : Is it okay if me and the gaang join you? ❤️
Ziki: sure, but I'll be working for majority of the time.
S ❤️: Aslong as it counts as quality time 😍
Ziki: Do you have to send a emoji or a emoticon every single message?
S ❤️: Whatever 😒
REAL LIFE
I've made it to the Jasmine Dragon and I say hi to my uncle and drop my backpack inside the staff room. I put my apron and my name tag and start serving. And soon enough the gaang is here. Sokka waves at me and everyone else does. They sit down at a table and I greet them.
"No need to be all formal Sparky" Toph says.
"Yeah, we're your friends." Aang says, yet there's something off about him.. He's not wearing a beanie? That's weird. I've never seen him without it, and turns out he has a buzz cut. It fits him. I take their orders and give it to uncle and they insist for me to sit down, of course i sit down next to Sokka, and he puts his arm around me. 

"So everyone knows, my birthdaayyy. is in about 2 weeks! So get some gifts people!" Sokka exclaims, making jazz hands. 

"I already know what I'm getting snoozles." Toph says.

"Toph if you get me another figurine of myself I promise you it won't be good" Sokka threatens toph jokingly, and we all laugh.

"Either way, we should find out where my birthday is gonna be held." Sokka says whilst getting comfortable, which for him is putting his legs up and melting onto his chair. 

"How about we rent out an ice skating rink?" Aang suggests and everyone agrees. I do also, but I have absolutely no idea how to skate! I whisper this into Sokkas ear and he whispers back.

"Dont worry, I'm an expert at skating. I'm from the south pole yk?"

"Whats going on there?" Katara asks with a suspicious look. 

"Oh yeah, me and Zuko were just planning to take over the world." Sokka says sarcastically.

AFTER ZUKOS SHIFT

Its been a while since the gaang left and I'm just now walking home with uncle.

"That boy is very nice, and kind" My uncle says out of the blue.

"Huh? Who?" I ask genuinely curious.

"Sokka." He chuckles. 

"Oh yea!" I say and a faint smile appears on my lips as I think about him.

"You really love him don't you, nephew?" Uncle asks.

"I do." I respond.
