The 118 had just gotten back from a call and Buck was in the locker room, buttoning up his new shirt when the dizziness hit. He finished the last button, barely paying attention to Eddie who was rambling about the call or something—he wasn't sure at that point—when he stood up to open his locker. The second he rose, however, the blood rushed away from his head and black dots swamped his vision.

Buck figured he had stood too quickly and tried to push through, but his vision was so clouded his head was spinning like a top, and he couldn't see his hands to open his locker. It took until Buck was fumbling around the handle until Eddie caught on.

"—Buck?" He whipped his head towards Eddie's voice but that only sent him swaying. "Hey, you good?"

"Great," Buck forced out through his lips, but he knew it was a lie. Just then he gave in to the dizziness and grabbed the locker wall, using it as support as he slid down the wall until he was sitting against it and then closed his eyes.

"Woah," Eddie exclaimed, leaping up from his seat and looking towards the loft, seeing Hen and Bobby talking against the railing. "Hen? Cap? Need you down here!" he yelled.

The two firefighters saw Buck against the wall and rushed towards the stairs, Bobby arriving in a matter of seconds and Hen right behind him with her med bag. Eddie was crouched next to Buck, holding him by one shoulder and checking his pulse with the other.

"Buck? You with us, kid?" the Captain asked immediately.

"Yeah," he said weakly.

"What happened?"

Eddie opened his mouth to explain but Buck beat him to it.

"Stood too fast," was all he had the energy to say.

"Pulse is racing," Eddie added on. Hen was now crouched on Buck's other side, checking his pulse herself.

"Buck, did you hit your head earlier?" Hen had gotten her pen light out and was checking for a concussion.

"No, but it's getting better now I just stood up too quick."

He sounded more present than before but that didn't ease Eddie's worries. He started saying, "Buck, you didn't—" while Hen said, "No sign of a concussion."

"Guys, really, I'm fine. Just need some water and I'll be good as new." He started to try to stand his way up, his vision mostly clear, but was pushed down by Hen's gentle hand.

"Oh no you don't, I'm not done checking you out. Eddie, can you grab him some water?"

"Of course," and with that he was off.

"I don't need to be examined, I told you I'm fine," Buck started.

"Just let Hen look at you and then you can get up," Bobby interjected.

Buck sighed and looked towards Hen. "Go ahead and examine me," he said sarcastically. Hen remained unamused as she pulled out a blood pressure cuff.

"Do you still feel dizzy?"

"Barely," he replied.

"Do you have any other symptoms? Nausea, feverishness, or pain anywhere?"

"Nope," he said, popping the P, even if he maybe felt the tiniest bit nauseous. He tried to convince himself it was just from being dizzy.

"Please just let me check you out, Buck. I know you're saying you're fine but I want to make sure. Have you been eating and drinking regularly?"

"Yes," he rolled his eyes. As if on cue, Eddie came back with a cold water bottle, handing it to Buck before backing up to the side. "Thanks, Eddie," he grinned. Eddie's face was still hinted with worry.
