Once the sun rises over all of Liyue's mountains, towering above the misty clouds like statues and Xiao's alarm goes off, he considers resorting to Christianity because he isn't sure how much longer he can do this.
"Fuck my life", am I right? His room still feels stuffy and it's warmer than ever. The sunlight practically blinds him through the cracks of his half-closed blinds.
He can already tell how tiring of a day this'll be.
Today is a Friday. Strangely enough, Xiao feels little to no relief. The irksome "beep! beep! beep!" emitting from his alarm has already spoiled his mood, and he's still thinking of all the things he could've done differently at the convenience store.
"How much more awkward could you have gotten?", he thought to himself. "Keep the change"? Who exactly was he, acting so righteous?
Xiao chokes back the urge to chuck his alarm clock (which was still blaring) against the dark walls and slip under the blankets he was all-too familiar with, though he's almost certain that he won't fall back asleep.

Hu tao has been his friend for a year or two. She so happened to be connected to his father, which let them two to become friends.
She was unapologetically bright (which Xiao quite frankly hated, though would tolerate because— well— it's Hu Tao) and a crazily thoughtful friend. Sometimes, Xiao wonders how everything would be without her... Though now was a rather poor time to think about such a depressing reality.
