"You did?!" Heizou, whose eyes seemed to light up with a million galaxies, exclaims. He shifts his phone and rests it on his table.

"Heizou, don't start—" Xiao attempts to say. Sadly but not surprisingly, he is cut off and Heizou does start.

The redhead, who Xiao's sure has selective hearing, squeals girlishly. He smiles like a kid in a candy store.

(For his case, a teenager in a bookstore. Heizou always drags the others to those nerdy shops and geeks out about the latest mystery novel. Signora hates it.)

"Sure it is! This is the first time you've made a move without asking the one and only Heizou for help!"

Xiao hates to admit that his friend is right. So, what does he do? Not admit that Heizou was right.

"It's not that big of a deal..." He mutters.

He wants to bring a hand to his neck, but thats stupid and corny and tells Heizou that, yes, it is that big of a deal.

He goes on. "I'm only going to help them write a little."

Xiao wouldn't dare admit that he had slept even less at the thought of the upcoming hangout with you. He pictured how it would go all day, whether that be voluntary or not.

He was imagining it all; the drink you'd get, if you'd even order something in the first place, whatever you would wear since it wasn't often he saw you out of uniform, what he would wear, if it would be impolite to show up in biker gear—

All the sorts, essentially.

Maybe you would show him your laptop screen, and he'd take it front you and graze your hands with his, and then he'd show off his super-fucking-awesome writing skills that he is totally not exaggerating about.

Heizou does a 'so-so' hand gesture and leans back on his chair. He was probably onto Xiao with that scary body language knowledge, huh?

"For you, it sure is a big deal."

Archons, Xiao hates Heizou (affectionately). The biker crossed his arms.

He rolls his eyes like how Scaramouche would when Childe follows him like a "stupid, energy-draining, tail-wagging" dog. (Scaramouche's words, not his.)

Maybe the action would get Heizou to quit saying exactly what Xiao thought.

Xiao brings his eyes back to Heizou, fighting off the blush that would inevitably kick in. The Inazuman snickers and the beauty marks beneath his eyes move with his skin.

Before Xiao could say anything, Heizou gets up from his chair and picks the phone up. Xiao is a little confused. The redhead's face is up in his face, lingering at the bottom of the screen.

"Okay, I'll be there in ten. I'll get Signora to help with you, too."

"What are you talking abo—"

Heizou turns off his camera. Xiao could already hear shuffling on the other boy's end. "Bye!"
