Preeti was sleeping soundly in her bed, covered entirely by the blanket. She kept moving restlessly. Her friend Shreya noticed this and approached her, gently pulling the blanket away. To her shock, she saw Preeti crying.

"Oh my god, Preeti, what's wrong?" Shreya exclaimed, helping Preeti to sit up.

Preeti simply nodded, her face incredibly pale and her eyes swollen from crying. Her cheeks and nose were red from the tears.

Shreya hugged her friend tightly, concerned. "What happened?" she asked softly.

"Papa has a br..brain tumor," Preeti revealed quietly.

Shreya couldn't believe what she was hearing. She felt completely lost and confused. "What the hell is going on?"

"The doctor told Preeti that her father's condition was terminal, and he might not have much time left. They couldn't predict how long he would live. Preeti continued crying, her voice trembling and shaky.

"You know my financial situation, Shreya," she sobbed.

Shreya tried to comfort her. "Preeti, everything will be okay. Sometimes things happen for a reason," she said, patting her friend's back gently.

Preeti was distraught. "What if I can't save Papa? What if something happens to him? I'll be all alone... an orphan."

Shreya hugged her tighter. "No, dear, nothing will happen. Let's go out. You need to relax. This is very traumatic for you."

Preeti looked at Shreya. "Do you want me to waste money on alcohol now?"

Shreya reassured her. "No, dear, I'll cover everything. Come on, let's go out."

"What can we do to save him?" Shreya asked, worried.

"I don't know anything. They just keep asking for money," Preeti replied.

Shreya helped Preeti up from the floor. "Come on, let's go."

Shreya and Preeti got ready and stepped outside. The fields around them appeared desolate and quiet. They began walking towards the main road. Shreya turned to Preethi and asked, "How did you find out about your dad's condition?

Preeti explained, "I received a phone call."

Doctor: "Hello, Ms. Preeti. I am your father's doctor."

Preeti: "Yes, Doctor. Any problem?"

Doctor: "Yes, unfortunately. Your father has a brain tumor, and I cannot guarantee his survival."

Preeti: "Doctor, are you sure? Is something seriously wrong? Can I come and meet you?"

Doctor: "No, Preeti. I am quite busy at the moment. Your father is receiving all the necessary treatments. However, please ensure the financial arrangements are in place promptly. We have to think about the future, you know."

Preeti: "But why? You just mentioned you can't guarantee his survival."

Doctor: "He may have about a month left," the doctor replied sadly.

Preeti was speechless for a moment. After a few minutes, she composed herself.

Preeti: "Thank you, Doctor," she said quietly, and then hung up the phone.

Shreya tried to console her.

They arrived at the nightclub, stepping into a lively and vibrant atmosphere. The club was filled with pulsating music, colorful lights, and people dancing energetically. Preeti and Shreya found a table in a corner and sat down, soaking in the bustling scene around them.
