I was panting on the floor, Rhys was gripping her legs, beads of sweat sliding down her face.

"What is that?" She asked. I don't think either of us were expecting that. The emotions of each person flooded through us as events went down.

"This version of history is indeed intense," Cyril agreed. "It is not for the faint of heart, however, by going through this exact recounting, you learn more about the motives of people than you would have ever learned from a word recounting. You also learn the darkest of Taigea's secretes."

"Is there something hidden within these recountings that words cannot describe?" Rhys asked.

"Yes, a secret about the Therian, Pyrian, and Cerberus royal families. A secret so entrenched in blood and hatred it is almost never spoken of," Cyril's words hung heavy in the air. "That is why I believe you were recommended here."

"Let's get on with the next memory," I heaved myself off the floor and waddled over to the sphere in the centre of the room. Cyril nodded and we were transported back in history.

It had been a while since the discovery of the Celestials and Ancients. Oran and Quintus were facing off against Artem, Avel, Ruby, Calla, Triton, and Torben were gathered.

"You bloody traitors!" Torben shouted. "You have no idea what you are doing!"

"Likewise," Oran sneered. "We are the future of Cyrillia. We are the future of everything!" He let off a wicked laugh.

"You sided with demons!"Artem shouted. "Do you have any idea what you are doing?!"

"You're going to start a war!" Avel added. "A war in which the victor will be full of hot air and the loser will be forever erased from history!"

"Then win the war," Quintus suggested. "It's as simple as that."

"You really are thick," Ruby hadn't spoken many words in this whole series. "If you lose the war, the Ancients will probably be infuriated and take control of your country. You will live in service to them just so they can prove to the Celestials they are superior."

"Then it will be better for us if we win," Quintus smiled wickedly. "I think we've already won half the battle."

"You think you're such a hot shot," Triton sneered. "But you depend on us as much as we depend on you. Nauru would fall into ruin if you seceded."

"Then let's find out," Oran stated. "On this day, we, the leading rulers of Nuoru choose to secede from Cyrillia. We also declare war on Taigea."

"Then may your parting words be your downfall," Torben turned and left. His cloak, a billowing entity behind him.

The two groups went their separate ways. Avel and Artem moved quickly and flanked Torben. They immediately went off on the best war tactics.

In the Suvaran Palace, Torben, Avel, and Artem were talking over war tactics. While they had the upper hand in terms of variety of magical powers, Nuoru had more complex magical powers.

"We also have Ereas," Torben murmured. "We don't need to rely heavily on our armies."

"We should still gather a decent force," Avel stated. "In case Oran puts the power of the Ancients in his army."

"That is of course another worry," Artem agreed. "Should we take in the powers of the Celestials?"

"We should," Torben's affirmation was fast. "We need all we can get to defeat our sister."
