It had been 3 weeks to the day since my last interaction with Lando and I've been so tempted to just text him but I'm not sure if I should do it or not.
Cat lives with me and I'm so grateful for that as well. I need my best friend's opinion on this sort of stuff and to guide me through it. I walk back to the front room to ask her. I told her so she knew about the whole Lando's number situation.
"Cat"
"Yeah Ter"
"I need your opinion on something"
"Hit me with it"
"Do I message Lando or should I wait?"
"What are feeling right now?"
"So my heart and gut is telling me to go for it but my head is telling me I should wait a little bit longer"
"I mean, you've not long just got out of a relationship BUT you should definitely go for it and see how it goes with Lando. You should definitely take the opportunity while you've got it before it's too late and he moves on to someone else"
"So basically fuck around and find out"
We both burst into laughter knowing full well it was something I would say.
"Not exactly like that but something kinda like that"
"Thank you for being here and dealing with me and my bullshit"
"Someone had to be by your side cause god knows what you would be doing right now"

I smile at the messages. This is all going to be new to me but I'm excited to see what this has in store for me.
Lando's P.O.V
It's been 3 weeks since I gave Teri-Anne my number, I haven't heard anything from her. I did find her on Instagram and checked her profile out, she's so different from everyone else. I could've been with anyone but something about Teri-Anne makes me attracted to her and just want to get to know her more.
I'm currently on FaceTime with Max just catching up with him.
"Mate, what if she never messages me?"
"Dude, she will, just in her own time. You've just got to give her time. By the looks of things, she's not long got out of a relationship, so you might have a chance with her"
"Shit. I didn't know she just got out of a relationship"
"You didn't know, she kept it quiet, maybe for a reason. You've took your shot, now you've got to wait"
"She's so beautiful, she plays sports and into F1 but she seems know a lot about it"
"I've never seen you be all mushy about a woman. But to be fair mate, she might be the one for you"
"I feel like she is. I'm attracted to her because of her personality and how interested she is in sports"
"Mate, I'm going to let you go and see you next week"

I smile from ear to ear. Max was right, she's finally texted me. I continue to text her.

Teri-Anne's P.O.V
I'm trying my hardest to fall asleep when my phone starts ringing — it's Lando FaceTiming me at 3am.
"Hey LN, is everything okay?"
"Hey, sorry for you ringing so early in the morning. I couldn't sleep and everyone is asleep so I figured you might be still awake. If you were sleeping, I'll let you go back to sleep"
"You don't need to apologise for waking me up, I was already awake anyway so please don't go. Are you sure everything is okay? You don't sound okay"
"You're right, everything isn't okay. I just need to rant"
"I'm all ears. Please tell me what's wrong"
"It's to do with the racing. The car doesn't feel right, it's not performing at the standard it should be, we're doing shit so far this season. I'm just so fucking frustrated with everything right now"
"Have you told Zak about all this and how you feel?"
"I've told him about everything"
"And what was his response?"
"He's turned around and said that the mechanics and engineers are working on it, the best they can"
"It's seems like they are not doing it quick enough"
"I just hope I have a better rest of the season"
"I'm fucking hoping it as well. I'll be cheering you on"
"I appreciate that, I really do. Thank you for picking up the phone. I'll let you go and I'll talk to you in a few hours"
"That's okay, just try and get some rest for now and we'll talk more later on in the day"
I managed to get about 4 hours of sleep before waking back up again.
"Were you chatting to Lando at 3am by any chance?"
"Yeah, sorry. Did I wake you up?"
"No, I was already awake. Was he okay?"
"Not really, he's just got a lot going at the moment and he didn't have anyone else talk to but me"
"It's sweet of him that he rang you. You are the only person that listens people's problems"
"I'm gonna talk to him later, just to make sure he's okay. I hate seeing people like this and feeling like they've got to go through this alone"
"Ter, this is why we are best friends. You help people when they need it the most"
Later in the day, Cat was doing her own thing while I spent hours talking to Lando. I felt so sad for him, just him having to deal with all of this alone.
