My alarm waking me up ready to fly to Northampton, and boy I hated being up at this time of the morning to go anywhere.

I finally retired from football after 8 years of playing and honestly, it's the best thing that's happened to me in a very long time.

"It's too early to do anything"

"The quicker we get to Northampton, the quicker we will be able to get some sleep"

"Couldn't we have picked a later flight"

She shakes her head no and I rest my head on the back of the sofa.

"So on other notes, what did you and Mr F1 hottie talk about yesterday?"

"Just about football and he got surprised when I told him I'm a rugby and F1 fan and play football"

"Did you get his number?"

"Nope, why would I?"

She giggles at me as she walks over to get some water.

"How are you and Dan?"

"Bro, that motherfucker is lazy as fuck. He doesn't wanna do anything with me anymore. I've had enough so I cheated on him"

"What the fuck. With who?"

"Do you remember the guy that I lost my virginity to?"

"Yeah but I forgot his name"

"Yeah, well, I cheated on Dan with him"

"Fuck off. No way"

"Yes way"

"Tell me more"

"He gave me the best orgasm ever. He's better at sex than what Dan is"

"Fucking hell. So what's gonna happen from now on"

"Once we're back from Northamptonshire, I am breaking things off with him"

"Good on you. We need the spirit"

"On a different note though. Who has got the race tickets?"

"I have got both of our tickets, so you don't need to worry about that"

"Good because I would've been mad if you had lost them"

"Did you forget that I've also got them on my phone as well, just in case anything happens"

"Fuck, good point"

"Have you got everything ready?"

"Yes. The question is, have you?"

"I've checked over and over and over again. I'm pretty sure I've got everything"

"Even your Thyroid medication?"

"Shit. Thank you for reminding me. I'll take them now and then pack them into my bag"

"You are lucky that I'm here otherwise you would have forgotten about them"

"Don't want anything to happen to me while we are there now, do we?"

"Nope, I can't afford to lose you"

We were sorted and finally ready to leave the Bristol behind for a week. I've been so looking forward to this trip for weeks and it's going to be bliss.

Once we were touched down, getting to our hotel and settled in, we decided to give Em a call.
