I know I'm in the wrong here lol I haven't updated for months and I neglected my entire profile and left my drafts lying in the backroomssss

But thine revered author hath risen from curdled hell to bless thee with insomnia-wrought words

I spent the entire ride thinking about how many knives it would take to secure Jax to the roof of the tanker.

There was a whole crate full of them behind the seats, along with other random weapons.

It took all of my willpower not to let any emotion show on my face, especially when I was squished next to Jax in one inconveniently sized seat. Such a large tanker but not enough seats for everyone; it was depressing.

"All right Gangle," Jax piped up in a disgustingly cheerful voice, "When we catch up to 'em I'll jump over, crawl inside, and shoot 'em repeatedly til they're unrecognizable. How does that sound?"

"I feel that violates some kind of convention," Gangle said, side-eying the gun he was brandishing at her.

Jax shook the gun in Gangle's face.

"You're violating my ears with your clap-back. Get driving, driver-"

"And here I thought you've changed to cutesy demure prince charming," I yawned. "I suppose you're ugly fugly rabbit skeleton instead."

He flashed a smirk at me without missing a beat, slinging an arm around my shoulders just to piss me off.

"I will sweep you off your feet one day sweetie, that's a promise. But right now," The tanker hit a bump in the road and I crashed into Jax's side. "You'll have to settle for princess treatment, made just for you~"

"I'm so done with your bullsh*bleep* I swear to the gods -"

"Maybe when we catch up to them," Ragatha was saying to Pomni, "we could-"

"We could be assertive, like this!" Jax reached behind us, grabbed Pomni by the neck, and hurled her out of the overhead hatch.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"

"POMNI!" Swiftly using Jax's shoulder as a boost, I hoisted myself up through the hatch - only to find her stretched out cartoonishly between the two speeding tankers.

"Y/N HELP-" she screamed, only to be cut off by Jax.

"Ah, that's perfect! Just hold that pose, I gotta get something -"

"JAX YOU A*BLEEP*HOLE!"

I tried and failed to swipe at her hand. With the tanker's violent shaking along with the gluttonously stinky wind rushing past us, it was hard to grab ahold of anything. And the dumbass next to me wasn't helping. At all.

"You know, I swear there was some kind of bazooka back here-"

"This is not the time to be looking for weapons!" I snapped at him. "Pomni's in danger, and you should be helping me help her!"

"No need to repeat yourself hot stuff, I got it! But can you blame me for being cooped up in the Circus for so long?" Jax continued, watching Kinger attempt to rescue Pomni unsuccessfully. "All right Pomni, you just stay like that-"
