"Pasensya na, Shane. Rules are rules eh."
Raid gave me an apologetic look. I creased my forehead disappointingly as I wrote down sh*t to the papers they give me.

"Like I said, Raid. I didn't do it! D*mn. How many times do I have to repeat myself before you f*cking understand?!"
I said with a huge hint of annoyance. Nakita ko kung pano sakin napatingin ng masama ang SC President na seryosong nakaupo sa office niya. Nakaopen kasi ang pintuan kaya siguro narinig niya ang pagrereklamo ko. I know how he hates people especially girls cursing. Kainis naman to na kapalaran oh!
Meron daw kasing mga taga ibang school na sumugod kanina dito sa H.A. at nagfile ng complaint sa SC dahil raw ginulpi raw sila ni 'Seijoh'. Eh g*go. Kelan pa naging Seijoh ang apelyido ko?! As far as I recall, it's Salcedo, and not Seijoh. Yes, I'm a Seijoh but I don't identify myself as one if I'm not asked, kaya imposibleng ako yun. And last time I recall, I never beat up anyone despite my huge annoyance to the world. And now they're letting me do this report sh*ts that the SC is bound to pass today but the secretary is absent and no one is willing to do it. Kaya ang magaling na presidente, eh naisip na ito nalang ang gawing punishment ko. At kapag hindi ko inayos, eh papagcommunity service-in nila ako.

Raid sighed and tapped my shoulder. I glared at him at his gesture and he immediately removed his hand. He knows I hate it when guys touch me.

"Take it this way, Shane. Tulong mo na rin to samin. I also doubt it that you were the one responsible. Alam ko kung gaano ka kaingat umiwas ng gulo. Pero hindi ko rin maipagkakaila na magaling ka sa pagsusulat ng reports at essay. Kaya please.. kahit favor nalang bilang pinsan mo." Pagmamakaawa ni Raid. Inirapan ko nalang siya at ipinagpatuloy ang pagsusulat. Oh he's my cousin alright. 2nd cousin to be exact. Although no one knows about it because I don't want girls to cling to me like leeches just because Raid Troy Fieralde is my cousin. And besides, I almost forgot that this guy was even acquainted to me. Ni hindi nga kami close. Mabait lang talaga siya kaya medyo may pagka-FC siya.

"Eh kung sinabi mo nalang sana iyan sa simula palang, wala nang problema. I could've made this sh*t if you just asked nicely. Hindi yung nakatanggap pako ng kahihiyan dahil sa magaling mong pinsang presidente." I said through gritted teeth. He smiled and chuckled.

"You know I can't do that, Shane. Kahit ako, hindi ko kayang pagsabihan yang si Izale ng taliwas sa sarili niyang paniniwala. You know he's the authority." I rolled my eyes as I finished writing and stretched out my arms.

"Whatever. He should learn to listen to those older than him. At ikaw rin, mas bata siya sayo. Make him listen. It's not like he's right all the time." I said and stood up.

"He's always right, though." He said as-a-matter-of-factly. Napailing ako at humakbang paalis.

"Really? Because if he is, then he wouldn't be punishing the wrong person right now. And I hate him for that." I smirked and went out of the room. I don't care kung marinig man yun ni Izale Fieralde. Ang importante, makaalis ako doon, and I made my point.
I went to the Alpha building and went up the 4th floor. I entered the room with the name 'Shane Hanh Salcedo' engraved in gold in its door. This was H.A.'s gift to me when I won Got to Dance. My own dance room. Although mas komportable lang talaga ako as studio minsan. Kumuha ako ng pagkain sa fridge bago umupo at nagsimulang kumain sa sofa. Drats. Nang dahil sa nangyari kanina, hindi nako nakakain ng lunch.

Napag-isipan kong magpractice nalang muna nang matapos akong kumain, kaso hindi yun natuloy nang bigla akong nakatanggap ng tawag.

"Hello, kuya?" Bati ko pagkasagot ko ng tawag.
"Hello Shane. Tapos na ba klase mo?" Tanong naman ni Kuya.
"Err---oo." Nag-aalinlangan kong sabi. Hindi naman kasi talaga ako pumasok eh.
"Good. Go home. May pupuntahan pako at walang tao sa bahay. You know how Mom goes bananas when the house is left with just the maids. Okay, baby girl?" Utos niya. I silently cursed. I hate that f*cking pet name.
"Psh. Fine. I'll be there." I said, annoyed. Binabaan ko na ng tawag si kuya at lumabas nalang ng campus imbes na magpractice. Tulad ng nakagawian, nagpahatid nalang uli ako sa Alpha Transportation Service o ATS ng H.A.

Pagdating ko ng bahay, agad namang umalis si kuya. Kaya eto ako at mag-isa nanaman hanggang sa gumabi na at makatulog nako. This is what I want. To be alone.

"Shane, can I court you?" Tanong sakin ni Kiev Gabriel Cruz, ang club president ng badminton club at team captain ng men's badminton. I sighed and awkwardly smiled at him. He's been good to me so far, at malaki ang reputation niya lalo na sa badminton, but still, I don't like his bad boy tendencies, his harsh personality, and his head full of arrogance.

"Sorry, Kiev. I just don't know you that much yet." I said, trying not to hurt him or his ego. I might be a loner, but I choose my words carefully. Like I said, I don't want useless conflicts to happen.
"Then this is how you'll get to know me better!" He persistently insisted. I let out another sigh.
"Look. I don't feel the same, okay? Kaya ngayon palang, sasabihin ko sayong sorry, but you don't have a chance. And besides, I don't believe in romance." I turned around and left him hanging as I headed outside the building. Finishing with the sentence I usually say to guys who ask me out. Eh sa totoo na hindi ako naniniwala sa romance.

Dadaan na sana ako ng shortcut papuntang Alpha building, but then I listened to something I wish I haven't.
"ARE YOU MAD, ZONE?!"
Napatago ako bigla sa gilid nang marinig ang sigaw ng isang lalaki mula sa garden. His natural british accent and cold voice gave me the chills. Wala masyadong tao doon kaya ako lang siguro ang nakakarinig sa kanila.
"Sorry Kuya. I couldn't help it." Nakatungong sabi ng kapatid. Pareho silang may natural british accent ng kuya. Nasapo naman ng nakakatandang kapatid ang noo. Nakakaawang tingnan ang nakababatang kapatid dahil parang tigre kung magalit ang kuya nito.
"Zone, for Pete's sake, it's just two years till you turn 18!" muling sigaw ng presidente. Napakunot naman akon ng noo, hindi maintindihan kung ano ang pinag-uusapan ng dalawa.
"But kuya! Hindi naman ako nadisgrasya eh! It's just a few minutes drive away from home." Pagdadahilan ni Zone. But I know he already realized that his brother is just not the listening type.
"That's not the point, Zone! You drove dad's car to school, just because they're not here! Hindi ka nagpaalam at nilabag mo ang batas because you're driving even if you're not of age!" Namumula na ngayon sa galit ang Presidente. Now I get it.
"That's not a big deal in this country, kuya." Sinubukang magrason ng kapatid. But I doubt it if the President will even slightly twitch.
"It is a big deal if a Fieralde is breaking the rules." Seryoso nitong sabi. Natigilan ang kapatid habang tumindig ata ang lahat ng balahibo sa katawan ko sa lamig ng boses niya.
"Now go and call the driver to fetch the car." The President ordered. Full of authority. Napatungo nalang ang kapatid at mahinang tumango.
"Sorry kuya." Sabi nito bago umalis. I saw how the President sighed when his brother left. Humakbang na siya paalis sa kabilang direksyon. Ngunit ikinagulat ko nang bigla siyang tumigil at magsalita.

"I didn't know the Seijohs were eavesdroppers." Shoot. I swear. That moment, I wish I won't ever see him again, even if he's the most handsome guy I have ever laid eyes upon.

"Do you have everything you need in your bag?" Tanong sakin ni mama pagkababa ko ng hagdan. Tumango ang ako at humalik sa kanila ni Dad.

"Be good. Okay Shane?" Dad reminded. Tumango nalang din ako.

"Let's go baby girl!" Sigaw ni kuya mula sa labas ng pinto. I glared at him and the bastard just chuckled.
Nagpaalam nako kina Mama at Dad bago kami umalis ni Kuya Drone papuntang airport. Hinatid lang niya ako at nagpaalam na bago siya umalis para pumasok. I boarded a plane bound to Cagayan de Oro and it took me just an hour or so to arrive at Laguindingan International Airport. Paglabas ko ng airport ay agad kong nakita ang mga pinsan kong nakaabang sakin. All of them emitting their usual cool auras. We hugged each other before travelling to CDO. Grabe naman ang kulit nila sakin sa loob ng Pajero ng pinsan kong si Alexis. Compared to my cousins in Manila, they're more outgoing and jolly. Kahit na alam nilang socially awkward ako eh they still try to act natural with me. This is why like now, I always spend my summer vacation here in Cagayan de Oro. And I just hope that this year will be as peaceful as the last ones.
