4- MISSING HER LOVED ONES

Remi was more than happy to see her puppy running around Jungkook's house accidentally knocking down everything in her path with her clumsiness.

He didn't seem to mind though, Jungkook even cracked a small smile when Ruby crashed in her owner's arms licking all over Remi's face in pure happiness.

The young girl also got more lively with her puppy's company and had something to focus and kill the time.

" Jungkook? " Remi asked as she strocked Ruby's soft chocolate brown fur.

"Yes? " he replied while sorting out the groceries he bought for Remi.

"I'm all over the news.. " she mumbled staring at the huge television.

Her beautiful face was everywhere, posters on the street, on television and social media where her friends posted about Remi's sudden disappearance.

"I know. " he dryly said and continued stuffing all kinds of food inside his fridge.

Remi stared at the big screen with wide eyes as her sobbing parents, friends and Yoongi desperately begged the police to quickly find her.

Jungkook let out a sigh and used his speed to run over the living room and close the television.

Of course this wouldn't be easy. Remi isn't like him, she actually had a life and people who loved and supported her in everything.

" They'll soon close the case and stop searching. " Jungkook coldly looked at her jade wide eyes.

"Listen, I can't do anything okay? I had no choice. It is what it is. They'll get over it soon and continue on with their lives." Jungkook spat out a little more harshly than he intended to.

"O-okay... " Remi breathed out and hugged the sleeping puppy tighter in her arms.

Jungkook cracked his neck, a habit of his when things are stressful. Was it a mistake sparing Remi?

It's in a vampire's nature to feed on humans and then kill them to keep their identity a secret from mortals.

But the supposed dead man is hanging on Remi's wall smiling brightly with pride.

Jungkook needs to ask Remi all about his old buddy but instead he's giving her a break. He might be heartless but Jungkook knows that the girl is still in shock and is trying to process all this crazy new information.

Not to mention that Remi has to accept the reality. She's never going to see any of her close people ever again.

But Jungkook needs answers and can't wait too long for Remi to be emotionally stable. She isn't his priority.
