5- SMART PUPPY

It's been five days, yes days since Jungkook abruptly left Remi and Ruby alone in his home.

Remi was actually worried for him and has been biting her nails from extreme nervousness. He surely isn't dead but other things might have happened to him.

What if he was kidnapped from an enemy? He must have many.

What if his identity got revealed and he's currently in a lab full of scientists piercing his milky skin with needles doing horrible tests on him?

Remi wasn't only worried for his well-being but also for her and her puppy.

She can't leave the house no matter what. Jungkook's spell won't let her. It's like an invisible chain is holding her back.

"Come here girl! " Remi commanded Ruby in a soft baby voice.

A stupid idea popped inside her head just like in cartoons where a lightbulb lights above the character's head.

The brown puppy jumped up on the couch and on to her lap wagging her tail from side to side begging for her soft fur to be petted.

"Can you find him for him? " Remi asked and scratched Ruby just below her ears where she loved.

Remi might not be able to step out of the door but Ruby can.

She is only a puppy but Ruby has a close friend that is a dog trainer and did a very good job with Ruby. She's very obedient and a good girl.

Remi got up with her puppy secured safely in her arms and walked over to Jungkook's bedroom. She placed Ruby on the king sized bed and watched as she hopped around the pillows.

This will most likely not work since Ruby is still very immature and can get distracted easily but it was Remi's only choice to find the huge handsome vampire.

She took one of his white shirts similar to the one she is wearing from the closet and pressed the soft fabric under her nose.

It still had his masculine smell on it.

Remi smiled a little at the comforting feeling and turned around to the bed. She whistled to Ruby causing her to come running and let her sniff the cloth.

Ruby's supper sensitive sense of smell caught Jungkook's smell immediately and she barked excitedly.

When Remi slept at night Jungkook sometimes played with the puppy when he returned from hunting and created a bond between them.

"Go girl! " Remi hopefully encouraged the puppy and ran over out of the bedroom to the door with Ruby following behind.

She opened the door for her and Ruby ran out of the house disappearing from Remi's sight.

Remi could only pray that nothing bad would happen to her cute dog out on the busy streets of Brooklyn and that she'd return unharmed along with Jungkook.

The small puppy walked confidently on the sidewalk not afraid of all the people walking close to her. All the everyday walks Remi took her to really made the dog social and friendly.

Dogs are much smarter than people think and are often underestimated. Ruby being a trained puppy had understood her mission.

She had felt Jungkook's absence too and wanted to reunite with her knew big friend.

Also if she successfully brings the vampire back home many delicious treats that he bought for her from the pet store are waiting for her on the kitchen counter.

Ruby stopped jogging and lifted her muzzle higher aggressively sniffing the air. Various of scents hit her sensitive pinkish little nose as it twitched.

She then placed her nose to the floor and wagged her tail before raising her head and started walking again.

After half an hour the puppy was exhausted but continued walking through the silent cold alleys of Brooklyn where Jungkook hunting grounds were.

Ruby's ears perked up at the sound of faint grunts. Familiar grunts and smell.

The puppy regained it's strength and barked as it ran toward the sound. Ruby found herself in a dead end where Jungkook laid in the mud.

A painful expression was on his face and his huge hand clutched his bleeding lower abdomen.

A silver long knife was shoved deep inside his organs. The man hissed from the stinging pain and tried to get up once again.

Jungkook had been left like this for five days and also had an empty stomach. A starving vampire was more weak than a starving human. He didn't need water though to survive, otherwise he'd be dead already.

Ruby ran up to him and started licking his pale face. Jungkook opened his tired eyes and was surprised to see the familiar happy puppy jumping up and down.

Remi.

Jungkook had almost forgotten about the petite girl in his house that was totally depending on him.

And he left her alone.

He doesn't even know for how long he'd been here laying down on the dirty ground like a coward.

Jungkook had been stabbed before with silver twice but it was never that painful. Maybe it's because this time it's on his vital organs and not on his shoulder and thigh like the last time.

You're a fucking monster, Jungkook. Get the fuck up.

He mentally cussed himself and gathered all his remaining energy to get back up on his feet. Or else he might die.

And he can't do that to his mother.

Jungkook placed both of his arms on the ground and thanked God for his strong muscles that supported his heavy weight.

He leaned against the wall catching his breath and flexed his arms smirking to himself until Ruby barked annoyed with him.

"Okay..Okay." Jungkook laughed and carefully crouched down to pick Ruby up in his arms.

He cussed again out loud this time as his abdomen throbbed but Jungkook still engulfed the puppy in his embrace.

He felt bad for the small dog. It's a long way back home and for those little short legs of hers Ruby must have pushed herself past her limits to find him.

Jungkook placed a little kiss on top of the puppy's head and groaned before using his speed to invisibly go home.

As soon as he stood outside the door he let Ruby down and knocked loudly at it.

Remi opened up not even a second later but fell down on her back with Jungkook's unconscious body on top of her way smaller frame.

She managed to push him away with all her strength and gasped as her jade eyes traveled down to his torn shirt.

Blood oozed out of his stab wound as the knife got deeper inside him from the fall.

Remi quickly closed the door shut and dropped down on her knees beside Jungkook.

Her eyes were wide open along with her mouth and her hands moved up from her sides and down again unsure of what to do.

After getting a hold of herself, Remi removed his jacket and then his bloody shirt.

This is not the time.

She thought as his strong toned upper body was exposed and blessed her virgin eyes.

"Come on big boy! " Remi groaned as she got up and hooked her arms under his armpits dragging him to the couch in the living room.

She wiped the sweat off from her forehead and let out a deep breath after successfully getting him on the couch with great struggle.

Remi glanced down at his rock hard abs and went to search for a first aid kit.

Does a vampire even have a first aid kit?
