Chapter 28

* L's POV *

"What?" The operation is already done? Can I turn back the time? Can I rewind the past?

"Yes sir, sorry but.. You can't do anything now. But don't worry, you're patient, Krystal? She's now safe. The operation went successfully" the nurse mumbled. I feel happy but there's still a part of me blaming myself that.. If I just search for a donor as early as possible, Jessica don't have to do this.

"Thank God for that. But .... How was Jessi----" the door suddenly opened as they pushing a body lying on a bed with a blanket covering it's whole body.

I grabbed the bed and stopped them. I slowly touch the blanket with my trembling hands. I put down the upper end of the blanket until ..

I hurriedly closed my teary eyes as I saw her bare face. Her lifeless body. My tears immediately falls down my cheeks down to her face. I hugged her body and kissed her forehead.

I moan. Yes I'm a man but this time I can't be brave anymore. Seeing her lying without life.

"JEEEEEEEEESSICAAAAAAAA" I shouted, I want to bring out all the pain inside me right now. Because I'm sure anytime I will explode.

"Sir excuse me, we have to bring her now in the morgue" I kneeled down suddenly because of my trembling knees. I untight my gripped to Jessy's hand as the nurses push her bed towards the morgue and away from me.

After the morgue's door closed the door in OR opened and bring another bed they pushing. I stood up and fight my trembling knees and saw Krystal looks much better than before. I follow them as they bring her inside her room.

After all they went out the room and left me and Krystal here.

I sat beside her while my eyes still flushing waters.

"Krystal, please wake up. I need you beside me. Right now. Jessica is gone. You. You're the only one left for me. Please give a justice on Jessica's heart" I said talking to a sleeping body.

I touch her face and kissed her forehead the same time my tears falls down to her closed eyes.

I saw her fingers moved. I'm certain. Then finally! Her eyes slowly opened. "Thank God you're already awake Krystal" I gasped and hugged her softly.

"I love you Krystal. I promise I won't let anyone to hurt you again. And I'm really sorry, because I let Kris to get you. I'm sorry Krystal. I realize that I'm already fallen for you" I said continously as I hold her hand. But surprisingly she didn't respond, rather she unhold my hand and she just placed it above her stomach. She look on the other side not facing me.

"I know you're mad. But I'm sorry" I said begging

I walked on the other side of the bed to see her face but she tilt her head on the other side again.

I sighed. I understand her.

"Okay. If you need to think first. I will let you" I said and go out her room for the meantime. I call her doctor and let him in and check Krystal's situation.

I sat down on the chair outside her room. I remember the paper that Jessica gave me before she died.

I dialed the numbers.

*Ringing*

"Hello? Who is this?" I asked. Because I don't have any idea totally.

"Are you crazy? You're the one who call then you will ask me who I am?" SHE said madly.

"Jessica gave me this number. She said that.. To call this If Krystal is already fine and awake" I said explaining sadly indeed

"Jessica? Krystal? She's Jazzmine. Who is this? What happen? This is Jessica's mom" She asked panickingly. Ow! That's why.

I remember doc said. That Krystal is Jessica's sister. She knew it already?

"Uhmmm.. Ahh" how should I say this?

"Can you just go here? In the Kwon Xi hospital" I said and end up the call. I need to serve my energy to face them. To receive their punch and slap. I know I deserve it.

Minutes had past and they already arrived. They confront me with a sad tone but at the same time panicking voice.

"Wh.. What happened? Why we are in this hospital? Where is Jessica? And .. Krystal? She is Jazzmine, If I'm not mistaken, she is the girl who fight for you and Jessy's relationship right? What's goin' on?"

"Krys-- I mean, Jazzmine is alright now. Actually she is just resting because of her new heart" I muttered with half emotion.

"What did you say? New heart?" She wondered

"Yes. Because of an accident. C'mon sit down and I will tell you the whole story" we sat down then I continue "Jazzmine raised up with an unloving parents. They let Krys-- Jazzmine to marry a man she didn't love. And there she was tortured and hurt. Then she luckily escaped with her unlucky life. There I found her. We live together for almost three months. Then suddenly Kris, Krystal's husband before. He call me and told me that Jessica is in his hand. So he want to exchange them. I accept the challenge and bring Krystal to him then Kris gave Jessica to me. Krystal is completely blank about it. She cried. They fight for the gun. And accidentally one of the two of them click the gun and it hitted Krystal's heart" as I keep on telling the story, their mom starts to moan and cry. While their father was gritting his teeth on angriness.

"Krystal needs.. A heart transplant. Then.. I didn't know that she already has. I was just surprised when she bring on the OR that was a while ago only. I talked to her doctor to asked who is this kind donor to sacrifice her heart to the people she didn't know." I paused for a while and breathe some air.

"And I just found out that.."

"What?"

"That.. Jessica is her donor" I can feel how they are feeling right now.

"So.. Wha.. What happened to.. Jess?"

I don't know If I can answer them.

"She gave her.. Heart and now, she don't have a heart right now--"

"No.. Don't tell me.. That--"

"Yes, she's already gone"

Mrs. Kim moaned loudly. I comfort her and tapped her back. "I will take care of this case. Kris needs to pay all of this" Mr. Kim stood up and walked out.

I walked inside Krystal's room and exactly Krystal is awake.

"Jazzmine" Krystal was full of cyriousity since her mom hugged and kissed her.

"I'm Kr.. Krystal" she said in weak manner

"No. You are Jazzmine. You are my long lost daughter" I walked out for a while to gave them this moment.
