JAY'S POV
Jay couldn't help but feel proud as they walked to the gaming room. Kai was the one to help him when he was going to ask Nya. But Jay had mostly done it by himself, without Kai's help. But now, Jay was giving Kai daily lessons on how to be confident and stay that way. He was teaching Kai how to propose to Skylor. Sure, Kai was a natural at it. When Jay proposed, he said the words super fast. There were two reasons as to why. One, he was nervous, which was normal. He had no doubt Kai would be the same amount of nervous as he was that day. Two, the Oni were banging against the monastery doors at the time, and Jay didn't want them to break in as he was saying a super long speech, rambling on and on about why he loved Nya.
Jay opened the door to the gaming room and found Cole cheering for himself, while Lloyd just sat there, staring at the screen.
"Hey guys! You done yet?" He asked. Cole nodded happily and took a long sip out of his soda guzzler cap. The lightning chicken sat beside him and nuzzled its head into the crook of his arm.Jay, Kai, and Dareth plopped down next to them. Jay was going against Kai, and Dareth would go against the winner, and then Lloyd would go against the winner of that round, and so on followed by Cole. Basically they were going to have a video game tournament.
Jay beat Kai on the first round. He also beat Dareth after that. He had to verse Lloyd now. Kai cheered for Lloyd while Cole cheered for Jay. It was an intense battle, but Jay ended up winning in the end. He had to go against Cole now. Cole was a legend at video games, especially Prime Empire and Lava Zombies, both Milton Dyer classics. But Jay was better at Prime Empire, and he was also a legend when it came to Lava Zombies or any other game.
It was even more intense than his game with Lloyd. After ten minutes of battling, the round finally ended. Jay had won. Cole grinned and congratulated his best friend. They high fived, and everyone cheered for the Gamer Legend, which was what they nicknamed the winner of the tournaments they had in their free time. Jay heard the door open behind him. He turned his head to see who it was. It was Nya, and god she looked beautiful.
She was wearing her light blue kimono. She looked absolutely stunning with her black hair pulled into a ponytail, with strands of hair hanging loose at the sides, which was how she always wore her hair. Her warm brown eyes were as gorgeous as ever, and her smile lit up the room.
"What's going on?" Nya asked, walking closer. She gave Jay a peck on the cheek.
"Jay won our video game tournament. He's the Gamer Legend. Until our next tournament anyway. But I wouldn't be surprise if he won again," Cole explained. Nya flashed a beautiful smile and ruffled Jay's hair.
"I'm honestly not surprised," she admitted, smiling at the brunette. Jay grinned back and stretched.
"Where's Master Wu?" He asked. Nya pointed outside excited.
"He's supervising the new murals of our recent adventures with the Oni, Aspheera, Unagami, the Skull Sorcerer, the Keepers, Kalmaar and Wojira, the Crystal King, aka the Overlord."
Everyone headed outside to where Zane, PIXAL, Wu, and Misako were standing, admiring the murals that were being painted by the monks. The artwork was absolutely stunning, in Jay's opinion, and captured their adventures and experience perfectly, down to every detail.
"Alright Kai. We can look at this later. Let's go," Jay ordered. Kai grinned and followed him. Jay noticed Nya sarong after them suspiciously.
