Chapter 4

COLE'S POV

Jay told me a few minutes ago that Kai was going to ask Skylor to be his Yang. Tomorrow. He was going to take her on a date and drop the question. I know Skylor will say yes. I just do. We all do, really.

Kai's really nervous, though. Jay's been calming him down and assuring him it'd be okay. Jay's also been giving Kai daily lessons for three days now. I've been to two of his lessons. They were pretty solid. I didn't know Jay knew this much about girls. But, after all, he was the first ninja to get a girlfriend.

I have Vania. I don't see her very often. In fact, I havent seen her since I asked her to guard the storm amulet for us in Shintaro. I miss her. But I'll leave to visit her after Kai asks Skylor.

The day passes by, and soon, it's time for Kai to take Skylor on that date. He was dressed in a red suit with a red tie. He was wearing red dress shoes, and his hair was spiky, as always, making him look like a legit porcupine.

Me and the others waited behind a large bush and watched as Kai and Skylor chatted as they rested on the picnic blanket.
Skylor stood up to stretch her legs and to stare at the horizon, and Kai took that moment to dig out the medallion from his pocket. He cleared his throat, and Skylor turned to him.

"Skylor, you are the most gorgeous person I've ever met. Your smile is what kept me going all this time, on all of our adventures, when we were apart or together. Will you be my Yang?" He said it really fast, in one breath. He held out one half of the medallion to her. Skylor smiled.

"YES. YES, KAI! I WILL!" She exclaimed, kissing Kai.

Jay smiled proudly and nudged me. "I taught him how to do that." I grinned and high fived him. We'd need some celebratory cake. Especially chocolate cake with ganache frosting.
