This is a few months later when UConn women's basketball team is very popular, especially Paige. You and Paige were trying to keep your relationship a secret to the public when she became famous but someone found out and now there are a ton of people coming to your track meets and your practices. Right now you are at another competition and you are in the championship, you have to fly to Utah for the championship. Leaving Paige behind with everyone else, you are with Audrey though because she also made it to the championship with you. You just landed in Utah right now.

Crystal's pov-

We just landed in Utah and I get a text from Paige.

Paigeyy. 💗: have you landed in Utah yet.?

Crystal: Yups.

Paigeyy. 💗: oh okay was the flight ok??

I just got off the plane with Audrey and we are already swarmed by people, I couldn't text Paige back because everyone was trying to interview me because I'm dating Paige. I feel so bad that I can't respond to her, I feel her texting me but I can't respond because they'll just ask more questions. I see my coach coming up to us with security guards, we finally make it to the hotel after what felt like forever. I call Paige and tell her what happened but then I had to go to sleep because I was exhausted and I'm in the championships so I can't let my team down.

{The day of the competition}

We are all eating breakfast with our coaches before the competition, in our team it's me,Audrey,Allison, and Olivia. We are the fastest people with all of our times and we are all on a team for the 4 x 100 we are doing.
We finish breakfast and make it to the place where it's held, we all stretch and I'm put as the last spot (the fourth spot) in our team since I'm the fastest one. The order goes, Olivia, Allison, Audrey, then me. It goes in order of the slowest on our team to the fastest on our team, they blow the whistle and Olivia is already in the lead and she gives the baton to Allison, shes neck and neck with another girl but she gives the baton to Audrey first, we have to start running before they give us the baton.
I don't know why but I'm running with a hand behind me so Audrey can give me the baton, another girl passes her and gives the baton to another girl beside me, I finally get the baton from Audrey and I run off. Passing the two girls who were already in front of me with a big gap but in the end I got my team to win, I keep running until I meet on of my teammates and we hug each other celebrating.
My leg's feel like they are on fire, I feel someone kick my ankle making me fall to the ground but I land on my knee very hard. I'm crying in pain because it feels like I just broke my leg, my coaches come and check it out. The camera man not too far behind her, recording me crying and holding my knee in pain. I hear my teammates yelling at the camera man to go the other way or just leave and after a little he leaves, my coach tells me I tore my ACL in my left knee.

I get carried out on a stretcher to the hospital to wrap it up and when I get back home they will do the surgery or see what I need to do.

{I get back home after a few days and I'm in the hospital for the surgery they are going to do on my knee. Piage, Nika, Audrey, Azzi, KK, and Ice are all in the room right now trying to make me laugh. I am on a ton of medicine to make sure my knee doesn't hurt so I'm kind of loopy right now, I'm talking to Paige about how unicorns are real and why they poop out slime for us to play with. KK is live and just recording me talking to Paige about unicorns, everyone else is laugh really hard because of how loopy I am. A few hours to by and they come in the room to take me off for surgery, we all say our goodbyes and prayers then I go in for surgery.

{a few hours later}

Hours later and I'm finally done with surgery, everyone left to go home and sleep but Paige is the only still in the room. She is sleeping on the couch when they bring me in.

Paige's pov-

I wake up the next morning to see Crystal in the bed still asleep, her leg all wrapped up but they are all finished with the surgery. I see Crystal start to wake up and she looks like she's looking for something or someone, when she spots me she smiles and opens her mouth to say something but a nurse walks in with Crystal's breakfast.

Crystal: "nurse.." she says in a sleepy almost gone voice

Nurse: "yes.?"

Crystal: "is it okay if I cuddle with her.? Or will it hurt my leg.?"

Nurse: smiles "you guys can cuddle.." the nurse says then she leaves the room, closing the door.

I see Crystal looking at me and I stand up to go in her bed, I'm sitting next to her with my arm around her shoulder since she's sitting up to eat her food.

Crystal: "eugh.. this tastes like shit."

I just laugh as Crystal spits out the food into a napkin, I take a bite of the food and oh my gosh. If a I ate shit and this at the same time, I couldn't tell the difference. I hear her laughing as I spit out the food into a napkin, I hear a knock at the door then Azzi, Audrey, and KK walk in.

KK: "heyyy, how's my favorite crybaby doing.??"
{they call Crystal 'crybaby' because she cries for the dumbest reasons and she cries for no reason some times.}

Crystal: sighs "I'm doing okay."

I kiss her forehead after seeing her sad face then KK goes live and lives the rest of the team on the live that is not in the room, we stay on live for a long time. I realize that Crystal fell asleep on me and is laying her head on my shoulder, I start playing with her hair as she sleeps.
