ALL CHARACTERS BELONG TO RICK RIORDAN

Have you ever wanted something so bad you were willing to trample a line of children just to get it? Well, that's how I felt about getting a vacation. Especially one with just me and Annabeth. I don't get to spend a lot of time with her, so when Chiron handed me the plane tickets to the Bahamas, I snatched them right away and ran as fast as I could out of the Big House. I didn't even care that we would be flying.

I ran into the Cabin Six like we were being attacked. Immediately, all Athena children were prepared to attack.

"If you kebab me, I wouldn't be surprised, but please don't," I said and raised my hands.

Malcom chuckled. "Hey, Perce, she's in the Library."

I nodded and thanked him, walking to the back of the cabin. I pressed a button that was hidden behind a poster. Immediately, the floor opened and the stairs slowly started to unfurl themselves downward.

I didn't even know a library was underneath this cabin until a month ago. Annabeth showed it to me. It was like the Bunker in cabin nine.

I wonder if there was any special feature in my cabin.

The descent into the library scared me. There was no cobwebs, no dust, but the eerie silence and the light cast by the torches on the wall frightened me. It was like a creepy cylinder. The stairs spiraled for a while before reaching the bottom. The bottom was a small room with a cleaning station. There was a sign above a door that read 'Wash Hands Before Entering'. I did so and then grabbed a torch. My footsteps echoed through the room.

I pushed the door open and stepped into the library.

Immediately, I saw Annabeth. She was sitting on a beanbag with a few lanterns surrounding her, reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

"Hey, love," I said.

"Love?" She questioned, not looking up from her book.

"If you never try, you never know," I told her. She opened her arms for me and I flopped on her lap, wrapping my arms around her stomach.

"I don't know how I feel about that one," Annabeth laughed.

"Babe? Bae? Sweetheart? Sugar? Baby?"

"Okay! Okay! I get it!"

"You'll never understand my pain. The only pet names I know is Wise Girl, Seaweed Brain, and things my mom calls me," I told Annabeth, but my voice was muffled.

"Poor baby," Annabeth teased. She pat my hair. "Did you need something? Or did you come down here to annoy me?"

"I'm annoying you? Fine I'll just leave," I joked as I started to inch away from her. In a scary second, Annabeth caught me and pull me back to my original spot. She wrapped her legs around my waist tight. "You're going to me me fart."

"I don't care. You're not leaving me," Annabeth said sternly.

"Never," I whispered. I gave her a quick kiss and then laid my head on her chest.

"Chiron gave us plane tickets to the Bahamas. And we have a VRBO with a pool," I told her.

"Why did you start with that?!" She shoved me off her roughly and put her book down gently. "Come on! We've got to go now! We finally get a godsdamn break!" She whooped. A lone Athenian daughter told her to shut the BLEEP up.

"Dam, I should have started with that," I laughed as I followed Annabeth.

"Hurry up Seaweed brain!" Se yelled down the windy steps at me. How she was already at the top, I have no clue. "We're leaving! Now!"

I let out a loud laugh as I caught up to her. "You're so impatient."

"Can you blame me? And if you disagree with me, I will use some Krav Maga on you," she threatened. Annabeth had just started learning Krav Maga with a sweet old man named Boris Lipovsky.

I hold my hands up surrender. I'd rather not be brutally mauled by Annabeth today. Although I can beat her with sword fighting, I have no doubt in my mind that she would probably rip my head of in Krav Maga, even with her as a beginner, and me as an almost master.

"i'm already packed so I'll just tell Chiron we're going to leave," I said to her.

"Don't forget to say that we're leaving now, with no delays. Got it?"

I gave her a salute. "Sir yes sir!" She threw a lamp at me.
